May need roasting
I never heard of Marcona almonds until I went to Spain last September. They were included in every hotel’s breakfast buffet and so I got to like them every day with breakfast. They weren’t easy to find at the stores in my area so I ordered these. I’m not sure how the almonds I had on my trip were prepared but they were not oily or seasoned - so I tried blanched. They’re not exactly what I had while away, a little blander than expected, so I roasted them with just a little olive oil and salt. Yum! They’re a great snack, healthy and delicious.

Tasteless
Tasteless, these marcona almonds have no taste and are like eating air. Texture is fine but zero flavor.

I had heard of marcona almonds, tho had never tried them.Ordered these marcona almonds; delicious, and very good quality.Put some in a pan, added a little olive oil and salt, then roasted briefly in oven.Delicious!I have ordered other products from Yupik, always good quality, and reasonable prices.

Taste is more like regular almonds
The product should not be called Marcona almonds they do not taste like them.

Fine, but not that special
I was excited to try these because I’d never had Marcona almonds before. I chose these because I wanted plain unsalted ones, and the price seemed good. But they weren’t very flavorful, even after I toasted them. They didn’t taste “off” or anything, just not much more exciting than regular commodity almonds, and less flavorful than quality raw Spanish almonds (and I have pretty sensitive taste).I used some in homemade almond butter and some in homemade milk, and they worked as well as any almonds. Next time I’d try a different brand of Marcona almonds or just buy regular ones.
