II am lucky enough to own a 71 Monte Carlo with 23,000 actual thousand miles and only drive it to auto shows and competitions. Since I stored on a car lift and occasionally crank it up, I tend to go through batteries in a couple years because it does not get enough use to keep it charged, even with a trickle charger. I purchased this unit when I brought the car down to crank a few weeks ago, and the battery attempted it one time and failed. I needed an intelligent charger to try to renovate this battery before I go to the battery store again and buy another one. To my amazement this unit did the job with ease! I could smell the sulfuric acid as it was pulsing and restoring the cells, and then it charge the battery completely as I left it overnight. When I checked on it the next morning, the car fired up as if it had been driven on a regular basis! I'm totally happy with this units and recommended for anyone that has occasional need for good charger. My only hope that it is built to last, which remains to be seen. But in any event, it is certainly cheaper than replacing a battery, and it's worth investing, in my opinion. I hope this helps you…

Tower top has top notch customer service! I had a problem with one of their products and they took care of me with no problem . I like these chargers they work well with a small footprint . The repair and desolation modes work great . Had an agm red battery that I couldn’t get to charge . I used this charger in repair mode and now that battery is like new . It’s definitely a good battery charger works great

Very nice battery charger, Its connected to my trailer battery 24/7, at first I thought it was great, later I notice it doesn't auto restart nor does it maintain or keep the battery charger up, I'm always having to manually start it. Light get very dim. Or my heater stops working, check battery it's at 10V. Charger should of trun on but it doesn't.

This is a good little charger. I like the way the smart charge works. Basically connect it, hit start, and walk away. It starts out at higher amps and slowly reduces the amps to fully charge the battery. I haven't tried the reconditioning function yet, but I do like the way the 8 stage standard sequence works. I like to take care of my tools, and didn't want to keep this in the cardboard box it came in. I did some looking around and found that the Worx WA1551 MAKERX Carry Bag was a nearly perfect fit, so I snapped one up. Pairs very well with this charger and even has a little padding for protection. Should keep this little charger happy and looking good for a long while.

I have had this charger for two years and it is my go to charger all the time. I do repairs on ATV's and SXS's. Almost every vehicle that comes in has battery problems. Recreation vehicles are used and then put away and then most of the time not touched until it's time to use them again. This charger has brought many of these batteries back to life that normally would need to be replaced. The recondition function does take quite a bit of time , but is well worth the results. The only down side is that the battery needs at least 3 volts for the charger to start working. If I have a battery under 3 volts, then I put an old manual charger on it for about 15 minutes. After that it will usually have enough voltage to let this charger start working. But that small inconvenience is worth what this charger can do. On a sad note, this charger recently blew up from my own fault. I was charging an ATV outside my shop while I was test riding another on my 22 acre property. Out of nowhere it started raining. I was to far away from the shop to get there quick enough to stop the charger from getting hit with the rain. I opened it up to dry it out and saw a burn mark on the plastic case where the water arced. I saw two burned resistors. I contacted Tower Top with the location of the burned resistors and asked them for the specs of the resistors so I could order replacements. They promptly answered back with just what I needed. Great Service from them! I have ordered the new resistors and hopefully that is all that was damaged and I can bring this unit back to life. In the mean time I have ordered the Pro Model which is above this model. It says it will work down to 1 volt in the battery. I am looking forward to the same great quality and service that I got out of the first charger. The only downside to this charger is the clamps. Sometimes the biting area is a little hard to make a connection in a confined area or on a smaller battery and the colored plastic clamp covers just clip onto the metal clamp and are not strong at all. They come off very easily. Just having the cable swing down while moving the unit and having them contact the floor, bench or anything can break off the tabs on the clamps plastic covers. This is the only area I can say needs improvement. But all the positives of this charger out weigh the weak plastic covers. I would highly recommend this charger. I will write a review of the Pro Model after I have some experience with it.

At first I was a little skeptical because it was so small and light, but after reading the user guide and using it on the batteries in 3 cars I was impressed for charging an almost dead battery, topping off another battery, and maintaining a charge on another battery. It worked better than I had initially expected and will replace my old "S" brand charger. It has an LCD screen that tells what is happening during the largely automatic process once selections are made before the charging begins.
