Q: Do these really reduce or eliminate litter box odor? I've tried sooo many things that don't work

This product is just ok. It works, but I would try to find a better rated product if I were you. Product eliminates some odor, but not enough to make me a believer that it’s a Great product.

Q: Does installing more than one of these in the litter box helps?

Only if it has a place for two filters. Usually not enough space in the box to slide 2 filters in. I change mine every 30 days and it helps a lot, plus I clean the litter box once a month both top and bottom and use Dawn dish soap with a little bleach. FYI, I have 3 cats

Hi! These filters are best used with hooded litter boxes that have an air vent at the top to circulate air. However, activated charcoal is used to treat toxicities of all kinds, filter water, absorb volatile organic compounds and of course, soak in the stinky scent of the litter box. It does this by trapping problematic molecules causing odor or toxicity within these numerous pores. With that said, we've had people attach these filters to the inside walls of a litter box, or even below the litter, however we can't guarantee the same effectiveness as standard use. Placing the filter in the general area of the box won't be as effective. I hope this helps!

Works for compost bin

I buy these for my compost can. It has a lid with holes in the top. These fit the lid perfectly and allow the compost to breathe until I dump it outside on the pile. They keep smells inside.

Gets the job done.

These filters arrived on time and fit perfectly for my cat's litter box. They don't really have a scent, though. It does help with odor in the room not to be as bad, however. I think it gets the job done just fine. I would buy them again.

My Cats Declared War on the Filters

These filters did seem to cut down on the odor from the litter box, but since they never stayed in place more than 2 days I can't say I recommend them. My cats declared war on them. I don't know if they get bored sitting in the potty and can't resist playing with the thing that wasn't there yesterday or something about them just really bothered them, but none of the filters stayed in place more than 2 days and were torn to bits after being removed. Therefore, I did not get my money's worth through no fault of the manufacturer. But my cats aren't bad about taking things off of shelves, etc..., so it was definitely something about the filters they either didn't like or the play value was to high to ignore.

Great odor control

I started looking for these when I got a covered litter box. The box came with a filter just a little thicker than these and fitted for the shape of the box but I could not find refills for those anywhere. I held off on writing a review until I actually changed my filter for one of these. They were easy to cut to fit the opening in the box. And after installation there have been no odors escaping from the box. Since the space was meant for a thicker filter I folded it before cutting so it is actually double. It works.
