My understanding is that these were originally designed to attach to your boat to hold fishing rods but I work on movie and television sets and noticed that everyone had a Robocup attached to their camera carts to hold their drinks and various nicknacks. The clamping spring is a little workout on its own to open. It's very strong and will definitely not slide or slip off of a sturdy pipe, rod, or tripod. I personally most mine to the vertical center column of my Jimmy Jib tripod to hold my drinks and tools on set. I would highly recommend!

I purchased this because anything taller than a 12 oz can does not fit in the cup holders on our Avalon tritoon. This works perfectly when secured to the awning support and stays in place while underway.

Great product as advertised on YouTube. I bought the plate adapter with it. Works great. Impressive quality. I’m missing the two adjustable Velcro straps that it’s supposed to come with. Only bummer.

I went to "Returns" and found this item is not eligible to be returned.Regarding the product itself... Why do you think I bought another one? Because it is so good! If it weren't for the "no return", 5 stars.***UPDATE*** 5 STARS!!!!I was contacted by the seller and they "made it right". This is a small, family business who really knows how to do it right!! As I stated in my original review, I do love their product and highly recommend it to anyone with a use. I am a musician and it is a permanent fixture on my microphone stand. (usually it holds a beer and a water... but occasionally 2 beers - lol)

I purchased the Robocup two years ago after cleaning up numerous beverages that kept spilling on the deck of our boat. It has proved to be a lifesaver in that regard. The bottom of the holder unscrews allowing easy access to caps and junk that gets thrown into it. The spring on it recently broke so I contacted Robocup through their customer service. I was surprised to get an immediate response. I explained the situation thinking that they would send a new spring. To my delight within 48 hours I received a new Robocup! I love this product and I love their customer service even more! Hard to find outstanding service these days! 10 stars!!!
