Q: What is the difference between the 2 listings here? One says "new" at end of part number but offers no explanation what the difference is.

I have no idea, and since nothing was specified, I saw no reason to spend extra on the "new" fan which looked as if it had the same motor and CFM output. An important difference between this fan and the one with the smaller diameter but same strength motor is this fan has a continuous speed control instead of three fixed speeds. Having owned the smaller fan for a year, I have the impression DeWalt does better quality assurance than other fan companies and if anything goes overboard for heavy duty parts. I want my fans to be reliable for many years of continuous use. So far I've been happy.

Q: How many amps does this use?

I believe it is rated to 14 with the 120v 1/6 hp motor. Depending on your other electric equipment / tools on the same circuit, I don't believe you will have any breaker issues if you are using a typical 15 amp - 20amp rated outlet. I have 2 of these fans and highly recommend due to build quality and warranty. Also, most other fans don't offer a 12' cord or zero to 100% variable switch. I also have two 48," 1hp drum fans in my shop. On one occasion, I did trip my 20amp breaker when I had my two 48" on HIGH and plugged one Dewalt 24" into the same circuit, in error.

Q: Are the motor brushes replaceable?

sorry not able to answer your question .I have used the fan 10 hours since purchased it .I use in the front doorway when cleaning floors to suck out dust flying around . not enough time on clock for brush replacement , sorry

Q: What's the size of the actual fan blade? I have a the 20" version and the blade radius is about 9.25", so the diameter is smaller than the listed size

The fan "box" is about 26 inches and the blades are about 3/4 - 1 inch from the sides of the box, making them about 12 inches long.
