Fit and finish sub-par
I wasn't expecting much from this knife, based on the price, but I thought for the price why not? I have other Schrade knives and they're pretty decent. To start with the imitation stag handles look so much worse and so much more plasticky than I could have imagined. They look like bad plastic copies of bad plastic copies of antler. If that was the only thing I could probably have sucked it up and kept the knife, but on top if that the brass pieces at the top of the handle don't line up with each other or with the blade. This is just sloppy and shoddy workmanship that I can't deal with it. My return has already been generated and this knife is going back tomorrow. Better no knife than one as poor as this. The only reason I'm giving it two stars, rather than the minimum, is because the general shape is pleasing and works well ergonomically.
