Q: Will this bag fit a Lenovo Thinkpad with a 17.3 in screen? I think it's a little thicker than most laptops.

My laptop is a HP 17.3 and it fits comfortable- as far as thickness goes, you can fit quite a bit. I put my laptop and two 5 subject notebooks in the same pocket as my laptop. Not to mention all the accessories (cords, mouse,chargers, pens, tablet, etc) very roomy I love it!

Q: Will there be a different color for the extra large size available? I like the size but don't want a gray bag.

I don't know that answer. I purchased the bag and don't sell them. Sorry.
