It is more of a silky/oil based spray. It smells really good too! It is my favorite, go to, heat protectant spray.

What are the first 4 ingredients? Is is silicone based?

Yes, it is silicone based with aloe and vitamin E. I think it is one of the best straighteners/prtectors I've ever used.

Does this product work for thick curly hair?

Yes it does work on thick curly hair, it is a heat protecant to use before you add heat to straighten your hair such as flat irons, hair dryers, hot curlers, etc...
