I purchased this for Christmas as we had a non traditional meal, that included scalloped potatoes for 12. This makes it so easy! Glides over the blade effortlessly...you can make them potato chip thin or thicker. Of course it comes with other blades to cut carrots, onions and other veggies. Saved me a ton of time!

Good product for the price and versatile. It isn’t the most intuitive to use but not difficult to figure out between settings/blades. I bought it to make waffle fries. It doesn’t work the best for this application ad you have to slice pretty thin in order to get holes. Otherwise works great as a slicer and is relatively easy to clean.

Purchased for my dad. He loves it and is recommending it to all his friends. Price is right. Only thing he would like is a catch bin that fits under the mandolin. He raves about the slicing ability, gives him even slices of tomato while saving time, and he was impressed that it includes safety gloves. I think he's buying veggies just so he can have fun slicing!

Adjustable blade. Food comes out with even slices. Food cooks evenly. Comes with extra blade . Has handle to stick in food to prevent from cutting hand

I bought this to make waffle-cut fries, but the serrations are not large enough to do this, unless you like your fries cut to the thickness of thick potato chips. That's not a big issue as I still like to make fries with the serrations as this helps prevent them from sticking together.But, the blade is not very sharp--I've only used it a half dozen times but even when new, it takes too much effort to slice anything. In addition, using the plastic holder for your vegetable is very shaky and unsecure, and if the item is sliced too low, you find bits of plastic in your food. I find it easier to simply use the included gloves and slice the item using my hand instead. Overall it's not *bad*, but certainly can be improved upon. This is not a sturdy-feeling tool.

Exactly as described - no surprises.

Not impressed. Have to do too much flipping and turning knobs to set it up. The flaps don't like to stay down while using it so it makes every cutting job awkward. I gave it away to a friend that liked it. One star from me.

This worked great for me. Only problem I had was when you get to the last of the food in the food holder, unless you're very careful to keep the food holder centered, it will slice off the plastic from the bottom leaving plastic shavings in whatever you slice.
