I have thin hair and it works. It's just a bit hard to use, since it's pretty hard. You just can't brush your hair like you normally with it. You would literally need to hold your away from your scalp then brush. It doesn't really brush your hair.

Do not buy if you have think hair....I didnt expect it to work perfectly but I figured that the day after I straighten it with a flat iron I could use this to touch up rather than completely frying my hair again with the flat iron. However, it did not help at all and pulls my hair :(

I don't think it's for curly / ethnic hair. It does not straighten your roots like a flatironIt works on rest of your hair but leaves it super dry and smelling burnt! Plus, the on/ off , temp. Buttons are very sensitive and turn up/ down - on/, off when your hold the brush!

I was so excited when I got the chance to review this I received this in exchange for my honest review. The shipping was really quick It came in a nice pink box and I plugged it in it has a long cord that is thick the red parts of the brush are hard it took me like five minutes to figure out if the brush was heating up or not because when I pressed the power button no lights or nothing would show up but then I realized that you have to keep it pressed until the side turns on and then you will see a blue indicator that lets you know the amount of heat you want it to. It heated up pretty quick I brushed my hair as it was instructed in the instructions it did pull my hair I have pretty soft and thick hair but it pulled my hair and it got tangled up while I was brushing it down so it could get heated. I did not like that the bristles were really hard it kinda hurt my scalp when I was brushing it it did take a while to cool off after I had turned it off. I repeat I received this item at a discount price in exchange for an honest review.

words of advice: hold the power button for a few seconds to turn on until you see the temperature light upPRO's:I liked the long cord, that it heats up fast, that it seems pretty safe from burning self during use, the low cost (compared to chi straightener), the concept of brushing and straightening at the same time.Con's:I have very thick, long, naturally curly, unruly hair so my hair still tangled some even when taking small sections and brushing it first. I didn't get my hair perfectly straight (even when going on top and then from underneath the hair and on the hottest setting). After going through the hair several times, it did look nice and straighter though. I will still use my chi straightener for the first day after shampooing. I will use this product for touch ups or to get my bangs straight or on pony tail creases/ when I am in a hurry and need a quick straightening job once my hair is already pretty straight.
