Q: can this be used on a gas stove

Yes, every household in Italy uses this type of coffee maker on a gas stovetop (nobody uses an electric stove in italy). If you dont have small burner, pull it off to the side of a larger burner with handle away from flame.

Q: is a tamper included?

No, there is no tamper; but check YouTube, etc - it is recommended to NOT ramp or only lightly. I use the back of a spoon.

Still my favourite way to make coffee

I used to own the Dama and needed to replace the gasket and found that it would be more economical to just buy a new Moka. This 6-cup Moka makes great coffee for 2 people. I still prefer this over a french press or pods. And I'm too poor for a proper espresso machine. Delivery was relatively quick considering it came from abroad. There was a bit of smell when it arrived but nothing that a few rinses and just letting it boil on a stovetop couldn't fix.

I purchased this after trying it a friend. This is much better than the cheaper version that I had.

Really good product and good price, make sure not to put in dishwasher as it ruined mine from the outside.However its still fully functional and makes nice coffee.
