Q: I would like to buy this for my desk at work. Is it too loud to keep in a cubicle or is the noise level ok?

The noise level is quite low. It's a whirring fan noise. Anyone talking nearby, or the sound of your computer will almost certainly be louder than this thing.

Q: Are the sides of the blue one, white or gray?

White, the inside is white as well. The door is the only thing light blue with silver plastic handle. It works great! I have it in my bedroom and it keeps my juice cans, sodas, or mini bottled water nice and cold. The warming option is a nice feature as well. I used it to warm a grilled cheese sandwich I didn't eat earlier. Just make sure it is wrapped. One thing to note: there will be condensation inside that can easily be wiped away with a sponge. I bought 3 of the, 2 for gifts and one for me. The little inside rack on the door holds the shelf if you remove it for bigger bottles or thin medicines that need refrigerated.
