☕ Brew Boldly: Discover the Coffee That Dares to Be Different!
ArtisansPhilippine Coffee's Barako Gold Medium Roast Beans are 100% Liberica, sourced from dedicated small-scale farmers in the Philippines. This heirloom variety, once on the brink of extinction, offers a unique taste profile that is less bitter yet bolder than traditional Arabica and Robusta beans. Perfect for espresso lovers, this specialty coffee is a rare find, making it a must-try for any coffee enthusiast.

Worth the experience.
If you enjoy a mild coffee flavor, this is for you. The beans are light in color and at first, the aroma, to me, was a little off, but it is such a mild coffee bean that I have decided that is the reason. There is certainly an undertone of chocolate. In the smell and the taste. I had read where these beans are hard to find, yet I found them on Amazon. I do believe they are grown only in the Philippines. I ground a batch for my French Press, so that would be a coarse grind. Not impressed at all. I, then, ground a finer batch for the drip machine. I highly recommend that one for these beans. Use a medium grind and set your coffee maker to BOLD. It made a very nice cup of coffee.I probably will not purchase these beans again as I do prefer a much stronger cup of coffee, but I am trying out coffee beans and this was a good experience.

Good coffee
Item was packaged ok, not damaged and fresh. Package did not verify item is 100% Liberica coffee bean as in ad. Description on package says blend of coffee beans. Leaves doubt in my mind. I guess my palette is not that great either, as it tasted like normal Maxwell house blend, not really something special. I like to try different styles, roasts and beans. Sometime i really notice a difference, sometimes not. I will say it did seem less acidic and or bitter than some coffee i have had. It had an average smokey/nutty morning coffee flavor, possibly some would say milder than most. Caffine content still woke me up after two cups. Order was promptly processed and arrived almost overnight.

Liberica?
The bag says it contains a "blend" of different coffee beans. Nothing about Liberica beans. The taste is OK, but the beans are not particularly fresh but rather quite dry.

At first it has a funky flavor but then incredibly changes to a high quality Chocolate flavor
When you first use this coffee, the coffee will have the only to describe it as that kinda poop-like flavor you get from the aftertaste of Hershey's chocolate but that stops after a couple of days of oxidization as the flavor then converts to a high quality chocolate cake then just high quality chocolate afterwards. Would highly recommend for coffee connoisseurs.

Old
I’m very sorry that I did not open this coffee sooner. It is so old and stale. It doesn’t smell like coffee and it has no flavor at all. Very regretful.

Meh
Im not a fan. Strangely small beans. Not a very deep smell and kinda flat taste. Many people have about the bean but it was really meh for me.

Affordable way to try Liberica coffee
Coffea liberica also known as Barako in the Philippines. I wanted to taste this rare coffee bean and this was a great affordable way to do so. Has a subtle, unique flavor.
