Can this be used in 240 volt outlets?

Hello Jenny, the T-fal Ecomaster Steam Iron comes equipped with a plug that is rated for a US standard 120 volt outlet. We would recommend using an appropriate adapter to convert to your proper voltage.

You only have to clean the soleplate with a damp cloth and warm water. Don't use anything metallic.

Is this iron self cleaning

It has an interior self cleaning system that "captures mineral buildup". I haven't noticed any residue or staining on the ceramic base (the ironing part).
