Mixed Impressions
Pros:- Sleek looking.- Solid construction.- Beefy ties on the zippers.- Decently roomy side pockets.- Well-padded shoulder straps.- Not too big, not too small. - I can pack enough clothes for 3 - 4 days: - 2 pairs of jeans, 5 shirts, 5 underwear, 5 pairs of socks and 2 pill-overs) - a 17 inch gaming laptop + power brick and cord - USB cables and charges, power adapters, etc. - toiletries - still had a little more room to stuff some things in, so not too bad.Cons:- Pocket access is really quite terrible. When you reach your destination, you will likely want to unpack just to get to your clothes. - The main compartment only unzips half way because the side pockets are in the way. - Front pocket only unzips at the top. - The middle pocket is probably the easiest to access, but still not great. - There are some internal mesh pockets, but no small internal pockets for things like pens, phones, folding knives, etc. Most things are just going to be crammed in and floating around. - No easy-access top pocket for putting phones, keys or frequently used items in. - The sleek design means the whole backpack tapers a bit from back to front and, while it looks neat, is probably part of the reason the pockets don't open fully. - I'm 6'2", 95 KG with a barrel chest and the front straps almost weren't wide enough for me. The waist straps were about at my belly button. If you're a moderately big guy this will be too small for you. It wasn't uncomfortable so much as it was awkward. While I wanted to like this backpack, for me the restrictions on opening the pockets, along with the lack of internal pockets was really disappointing. I'd rather have most of my stuff stay where I put it.If I wanted something small and durable that I could just throw some things in for an overnight, this is probably great. For a bug-out or EDC bag, not too bad, but the lack of internal pockets for organization really hurts it for those use cases.

and my overall happiness of the backpack
I just received my pack. My 4 star rating is based on the size of the backpack, the construction of the backpack, and my overall happiness of the backpack. I will update my rating once the durability is tested.I am a daily commuter on a motorcycle. For me, storage and durability are key components. I do not want an extremely large and cumbersome pack. This back pack is large enough for my 15" laptop, a change of shoes or clothes, some miscellaneous items, and rain gear without being obnoxiously large.Motorcycle specific packs are ridiculously priced and this Mardingtop looks as well built as any I've seen. There is plenty of pocket options for different storage configurations of gear whether you want quick access or only occasional access. There is not a helmet storage compartment, but there's several options for attaching your helmet to the outside of the pack. With a waist and chest strap, it will be as secure as ant pack I've had that MC specific. The stitching looks very well done and the quick connect buckles are not think and cheap, but solid and click in place firmly.I will update in time on the durability. All in all I am very happy with this $40 purchase that arrived in 2 days.
