Does this suffer from a hollow grind like other shrade knives now do?

I can't tell for sure what grind mine has on it, but what I can tell you is this thing has survived everything I have thrown at it without a single chip in the blade. I've used it to cut everything from small brush to hitting downed trees with it. No problems for me.

Can you bataan wood with this?

I wouldn't even take this machete into the field. I own one myself. It makes a better weapon than a tool. The steel that it's made of is not known for being a good steel. If you aren't sure about the type of steel, they're are some excellent carts on Google. Look up the Rockwell scale

As like any other hand tool, the usefulness of this particular tool for "culling the masses" is dependent upon the strength and stamina of the user. As your physical strength and stamina is likely as weak as your writing skills, this particular hand tool will probably not be the best choice for you to cull the masses with.
