Honeywell32001639-002 Solenoid Valve HE220, HE225,HE260, HE265 New Replacement

This replaced the original solenoid valve on the furnace humidifier when the water would not stop running. Now it works correctly.

... It replaced one that was not shutting off all the way. And for some reason the valve that feeds it (one of those kind that pierces an existing pipe, like you get with an ice maker) wouldn't completely close, either. So we basically had water running through the furnace/AC at a rate about like a faucet that wasn't turned off all the way.It's now summer, so I can't test to see if it works, but it did stop the leak. Installation was basically easy, but make sure that you have a good selection of Torx bits handy. At least on my unit, that's how it was attached and there was very little clearance to see exactly which one. All of the fittings are already attached and taped, so it's just mating the inlet (compression fitting, no tape needed) and a friction fit rubber hose on the outlet. The outlet was at the proper angle, so that didn't need to be adjusted. Oh yeah, and run the wires. It's not polarized, so one wire replaces one existing, the other replaces the other, but it doesn't matter which.

Item was just what I needed. Worked great. Just a couple of suggestions. Tighten both fittings before you install. Pain to disassemble after installing. Both fittings did leak. Also buy the hose replacement. Don’t cheap out like I did. Old hose was shot and couldn’t be reused.

The width of this valve is a bit wider than OEM valve which made for a tight fit against the sheet metal. But installation was doable. So far the unit is working fine. I’m satisfied with it so far.

Product fail after install. Replaced just solenoid and seems to be working now.Box (small cardboard box no packing material) was crushed during shipment.Product was described correctly and was a direct replacement for Honeywell humidifier.

Everything was just like the original part except the wires on the new part were a lot shorter than the original. I was able to splice the wires from the original part onto the new valve and it worked fine. This part can be found elsewhere for nearly $200 but why pay that when you can get the same part for $50?

This was not a Honeywell part but a replacement for (as can be seen in the picture in small print) so low score on value for money. It leaked initially as the water inlet that screwed into the body had minimal thread dope on the threads. Had to take it apart to fix that (hence the low score on the ease to install). I did receive it quickly so props for that and it was complete down to the filter/flow screen on the inlet. If it was listed as a non-oem part and I did not have to redo the connection this would be a 5 star rating.

This was a replacement for a Honeywell unit that was stuck closed. Most important item to pay attention to the 1/4” fittings that are installed on this (incoming/out going), should be removed and Teflon tape installed on the threads wrapping clockwise. The ferrule for 1/4” cooper/plastic water feed line should also be wrapped in Teflon tape also, especially if your using the old ferrule.They do warn you about this in the instructions! They sure are proud of this judging by the price!

Easy to install and works as it is suppose to.

This is indeed an authentic Honeywell part, Installation was fast and easy, works perfectly, a little pricey but that is not the fault of the seller as it seems to be pricey everywhere so I assume that Honeywell prices their parts on the high end... Overall I am a satisfied customer and would order again from this seller!

After ordering cheaper after market product which leaked, I decided to order OEM part which works beautifully. The big difference is that you just have make 2 connections instead of 4. Screw in the 1/4 inch compression fitting making sure you hand tighten and then use your wrench to tighten till you hear the clicks to ensure the compression fitting is fully engaged making it leak proof. Product comes with the tubing which easily slides into the copper outlet and into the pad at the top. I would have given it 5 stars if the wires had been longer. I had to run longer wires from my furnace to make the connections. Works great and I am so glad I went with it although it is 5 or 6 times the cost of the cheaper after market product that I returned.
