Great product. Easy to Use. Very Durable.
Took two of these to the beach. There are absolutely wonderful. They are very light weight and with the strap that comes on the included carrying bag, it goes right over your shoulder for easy transport. In the sand these work very well. The base is easy get down into the sand and holds tight. We were at a couple of very windy beaches not too long ago and these stayed put. They are very well designed and very durable. The tilt in the umbrella is also a very nice feature that helps maximize the shade. Really a nice product.

This is an awesome umbrella. We bought it right before our Coronado ...
This is an awesome umbrella. We bought it right before our Coronado Island trip and love it. It did not move or bow to the wind on the beach days. It stayed in place right were we put it.If I could find one thing to look down on... It would be the bottom section of the pole. It is neat in that it has a screw like type end and two handles fold out allowing you to screw this anchor into the sand. The plastic handles tend to flex more as you screw the anchor into the sand. So much so that when you are closing in on reaching the sand, you start to wonder... will the plastic hold? or flex and snap? And we are talking about reaching the 12 inch above ground mark. The anchor is a good 2-3 feet down into the sand. So maybe I am making this out more than it needs to be. The plastic held and the anchor pole section never flinched. It held the umbrella in place without turning or flying off. So is this really an issue? For us, no. I consider that a mechanism to tell me that we are done turning the anchor in and leave it alone. The umbrella can be adjusted up or down with the umbrella pole portion sliding into the anchor pole. You can tilt the umbrella to block certain angles of sun. This really is a solid umbrella for us and we are glad we picked it up.

Great beach umbrella; light, strong, and attractive.
We took this umbrella with us on vacation this summer for a week at the beach. The umbrella performed perfectly. Easy to set up, easy to take down, it survived strong winds easily. One REALLY windy day, we had to close it to keep it from blowing away... but so did everything else on the beach.

Good quality beach shade
You see the umbrellas everywhere nowadays. I think this one is a cut above. The red is very nice and it is sturdy. I use it at work sites and on the beach. Disassembles into two pieces that fit in a handy bag. One bad thing: Two weeks after it arrived, I saw if for fifteen dollars cheaper at Costco.

High quality..... withstood windy beach day!
Just used umbrella for the first time this past week at Myrtle Beach. This umbrella was wonderful, and the highest quality umbrella we've owned. We are beach people, and have gone through at least 3 other (NOT Tommy Bahama brand) umbrellas that were very cheap. I decided to spend a little extra money for the quality, and we're happy we did. There was one day that was very windy at beach and at first we were nervous thinking the umbrella might not withstand.....but thankfully someone who also had the same umbrella showed us how to easily adjust the umbrella down so that the wind wouldn't invert it. Voila, it worked....no more worries and enjoyed the beach. Will have this for a long time. Just ordered Tommy Bahama chairs and cart for next summer! Recommend umbrella!

Good for casual days
It works well, but it's for "light" to "moderate" winds and use. The auger and plastic handle seem more fragile than I would like and the canopy ribs do not seem as sturdy as other models I see on the beach. With care, and in regular use, it's a great and good looking product. Not for use on high wind days (> ~8mph gusts).

Very happy with it
Tested this at the beach, and it was perfect.- It deals with the wind pretty well with that vent at the top. I didn't have to worry about it at all.- The anchor is easy to use and works very well.- The handles used for inserting the anchor into the ground are made out of plastic, I fear that they might break in the future. Maybe not anytime soon.I should go back to the beach and do some more testing :D

Assembly impossible to due defect
Received this new umbrella just in time for our trip to beach today! Unfortunately though, I made the mistake of waiting until we got there to set it up for the first time. After situating the bottom pole securely into the sand, I went to attach the top portion. Immediately it was obvious that the top pole would not insert into the bottom. After struggling with it in the hot sun for 15 minutes, I finally gave up. It appears that the two poles are nearly the exact same diameter, and therefore impossible for the top to insert into the bottom. I thought perhaps I was missing a part. But after reading another one of the reviews here I see someone else had the same problem. "Inconvenient" does not come close to describing our day at the beach during a heat wave without shade, and now I have to go through the hassle of returning it. I am so bummed!
