Q: What is the amperage rating of this lug?

I don't know and couldn't find an amperage rating for these cable lugs. However, they are more than heavy enough to carry the amperage for any application that you would use 4/0 cable for. They are high quality cable lugs and not cheap junk. I have used them for everything from battery cables on my diesel Ford truck to cable ends on my 220V Lincoln welder without a single issue.

Q: Are these copper lugs safe to use for 120v?

Yes. They are certified up to 600 Volts AC at 275 Degrees F.

Q: what size is the opening to fit 2/0 awg wire. Chart says 11.7?? My cable meassures 15.2mm

Even if the chart say for 2/0 wire, I do not believe it can be use in that gane. I will use it in a #2 awg wire where it fits fine. Do not buy this item for a 2/0 wire.

Q: I've got a one time use for these, is there a way to crimp them without a special tool? I hate to buy one and never use it again

could use a pair of pliers or channel locks. But it wont be as secure as using a $13 hammer lug crimper https://www.amazon.com/Mofeez-Hammer-Lug-Crimper-Tool/
