We bought these for our beach trip. They were wonderful! They are thin and easy to pack. The first time prior to packing, I washed and hung them to dry. On our trip, I washed and used the dryer daily. There was only a little shrinking. They were very durable. I was concerned with the tassels on each end. I tried to find some that didn't have tassels as I was afraid they would knot and get nasty. That did NOT happen! The tassels even did great! They dry fast. I did not purchase these for bath towels. I purchased them mainly for the beach. They were perfect for the beach and packing. There was no weird smell to them. The colors did not bleed, but I also washed the lights with light colors and the dark with dark colors. There was no color bleeding onto the white stripes of the towels or tassels. I'm very happy with my purchase and it was good value for the money.

We have now had these towels for 2 years..and we are still using them. They soften with a few washes, are nice and big, dry quickly, and are still our go to beach towels. I appreciate how much smaller they are rolled up in our beach bag vs. regular towels. They are thinner than a “normal” towel, but work just as well! No lint noticed, and the colors have remained pretty much just the same. Perhaps gently faded a bit? But they still look lovely.

I was very tired of regular cotton terry towels. They are sooo heavy when wet which puts unnecessary strain on my washer, they take forever to dry, and they were making an insane amount of lint - I could see clouds of "fabric dust" when shaking them out after a wash & dry. Plus I live in a small space and they take up a lot of precious closet space. So I was looking for something better, happened on these "Turkish" towels, and gave them a try. I LOVE them.They take some getting used to as they don't have that heavy, soft & fluffy feel we're all used to with a regular bath towel but here's the thing - they dry you off just as good if not better and that's the primary purpose of a towel. These are light-weight and "flat", they feel like a sheet but much more supple. If you can psychologically adapt to the different feel these are a game changer.These are large enough to wrap around your body and because they are thin you can do the wrap & tuck around your waist and it actually stays put. These are great for wrapping your wet hair in, too. I fold one in half, flip my hair over, wrap it, return to normal position, and then tuck the remaining tail end of towel in under itself and it stays put until I am ready to take it down and dry/style my hair. It works MUCH better than the old cotton terry towels that were heavy and bulky and I needed to use a stretchy fabric headband to help hold the towel on until I was ready to take it off. When I'm done I hang them outside and they dry in no time.I purchased these towels a year ago and use them every day. They have been machine washed & dried countless times and are still lint-free, no clouds of fabric dust with these, and despite hanging in the Florida sun daily they haven't faded yet either. My husband thought the fringe tassels would become a problem, getting tangled and knotted together, but that hasn't happened. To both of our surprise they remain separate, tangle-free, and none are even frayed. Also, I can fold all four flat and keep them in the same space that one heavy terry bath towel used to take up.The roughly $10 per towel I paid for this set of four was well worth it as they are versatile, easy to care for, quick to dry, don't stress my washer, haven't faded, haven't got linty, and take up little space when not in use. Highly recommend giving these a try.

::Edit: we upped the stars as these towels have the single side of loops that we love. Better than the ones that are flat woven. ::We received a package of four towels, but they had narrow stripes and the colors were different than this listing. We didn’t get the rubber bands either. I believe Amazon sent us the wrong item. We aren’t picky, as long as each family member can identify their towel, so these still work for us.The towels are large and work well for drying off on the beach. The single side of loops makes them thinner and light weight and they do dry quickly when hung in the sun or on the line.We like them- less bulk in the totes and the big size.

When they first arrived, pleased at how soft they were already. After two washes, they softened up even more! Took them on a beach vacation and were pleased at how absorbent they were as well as how quickly they dried. Also, perfect for the plane trip as a blanket/shawl (these towels roll up fairly small so as to fit in a backpack easily). I've read that people complain about the fraying tassels...not an issue at all with the ones that we received. We have put them in the dryer and they did shrink a tiny bit (of course, they are all cotton) but not an issue.Couldn't be more happy with them!

I have thrown all my towels away to replace them with these. They are big, durable, lightweight and quick drying. They roll up and are easy to store. The colors are vibrant and fun and have not noticed any fading.

Wow, I really thought with all the great reviews, this set of towels would be great for our home and guests. I was super disappointed upon using them bc they're very thin, and water practically rolls off them. While they are very attractive and large enough, they are not thick enough, not soft, and not absorbant. Granted, I haven't washed them but once or twice. My hope is that after several washings, they'll actually serve their purpose as decent bath towels. If not, I guess I'll use them as beach blankets, table cloths or curtains.

This was a nice beginning of the summer purchase so that grandchildren coming to visit could each have a towel for swimming and bathing. Worked out perfectly. Everyone picked a color and kept track of their own. These are beautifully colorful towels and look great in groups. Because they're made of a thin but absorbent weave, you can get all of them bunched onto a single towel bar, if needed. They wash and dry well. Always wash and dry these separately the first time... after that they just get tossed in with all the other clothes. No signs of wear after three months.
