How do you plant it? Does it have to be rooted first?

No rooting needed. The cactus was shipped dry root which means it already has a root that has had all soil removed. On my 12” cactus the root looked like a small antler coming from the bottom of the plant. I was surprised. I planted it immediately in sandy cactus soil and it is thriving with a grow light.

Where are the planting instructions. Nothing was included

How many years will a cutting take to fruit once rooted

You’d have too google that answer. I know it grows very slowly.
