Great for White Elephant or Gifts!
For the price, it would be hard to top this for it's intended purpose. The quality is good and this easy enough to solve.I love my puzzle boxes and puzzle toys. My personal collection is over 30 right now (this one not included because this was a gift). I am also an Escape Room junky with over 20 rooms completed. When the puzzle box arrived I was very surprised by the quality when compared to the price. Yes I own better quality boxes or more complex boxes but I have paid over 100 dollars for them. However not many people would pay that money to give away as a gift holder. The puzzle itself is clever enough and is fun to open. For me this puzzle was a simple solve. It took me less than 2 minutes to solve with no hints. It took my 12 year less than 5 minutes to solve with no hints. My 10 year old took about 10 minutes to solve with a few hints. My 6 year old was over 10 minutes with way too many hints :)The intended reason for my purchase was to give as a gift holder for a white elephant exchange. It was a hit! Everyone wanted it and multiple folks solved it. All in all the box was solved at least 20 or more times and there had been no issues. Yes you can't be rough with it but it did just fine for the multiple times it was solved.Overall if you are looking for a cheap gift holder or a box to play around with... You have found it with this one. I highly recommend this one!

Fun gift and a great place to hide money
I bought this for a Christmas gift. It was so much fun trying to open it. I am giving one to every family member for Christmas with their money inside. It will be a fun game watching everyone open it on Christmas Day. They can keep it and use it to hide money, jewelry or any keepsake or simply pass it on to someone else.

may "stick" a little on first use
I was very confused how to open this until I applied a little pressure to one of the "turny" bits. Without giving too much away, there is a bit that looks like it should be turned but the sloppy shellac finish of the box made the turny bit glued in place. If you are trying to be careful and not break the seal on the shellac, you may never figure it out. So make sure you apply enough force to twist the center medallion. The rest of the puzzle is not difficult to figure out. I expect my 7 year old daughter to figure out it, now that I broke the seal.It is not super craftsmanship, so you still need to be delicate with it.Idea for gift for a child who you would otherwise give cash: buy some real silver or gold bullion and put it in there. The resale value of gold or silver is high, so the gift receiver can sell the gold or silver back to the store. You can get nice silver coins for $20 each, and a gold coin for $200.

Awesome gift
It is a cool puzzle box. Great for the price and very good gift. I got it for my sister in law. She loved it and had some fun opening it up. It's not complicated to open and where they laquered it, it made it tight but not to where you can't open it. A plus is the stylishness of it. After you open it you can put it back together and set it on the dresser, coffee table or mantle. It just looks cool and it could spark up a conversation.

Kind of easy...
Super cute little box I store cash in (to hide from myself and others) I showed it to my friend when I was telling her about the money I had stashed "somewhere" and she was amazed! Had no idea I kept cash like that in such a cute little box. Its pretty discreet, it appears to be just another trinket sitting on a shelf. The only downsides I have is it was incredibly easy to solve. I had it apart in less than 5minutes. I handed it to a friend to solve and she messed with it for a good ten to fifteen minutes before giving up but it took me almost no time. There's a twisty bit that doesnt really want to twist at first, resists to the point you kind of think you're going to break it until it gives way and then you twist for AGES. The majority of the time it took me to solve the box I was just twisting and twisting this little knob waiting for something else to happen. The only other downside is that it seems...easily smashed. I don't know, I just feel like if someone REALLY wants whats inside they could quite easily break the box open and get it, completely bypassing the puzzle portion. I still absolutely adore it though, its so cute and inconspicuous

Good quality & worked great.
The puzzle boxes worked great to give gift cards to my kids 20-30 years old. They enjoyed trying to figure it out. Good quality. Nice looking puzzle box. Would recommend.

Tons of Fun!
This puzzle box was purchased as a birthday gift to hold money for my niece. In fact, I bought four separate puzzle boxes in varying styles to gift one each to my four nieces and nephews. It turned out, every single person at the birthday party from the youngest child to the oldest adults were ALL getting involved in solving them! Everyone laughed, passed them around, and took their turns trying to solve the puzzle to open the boxes. It was fantastic! The puzzle boxes were great conversation starters and held everyone’s interest for a couple of hours until the party ended. I had to explain to many of them what they are called and where I bought them. This particular puzzle box is lightweight and well-built. It looks exactly as pictured. This puzzle box comes with easy-to-understand instructions. The compartment inside is sizable enough to hold a small gift, not just money. The age ranges of the children I bought these for were 8-14. As I stated though, everyone present aged 5 to 85 were enjoying these puzzle boxes.I highly recommend this product!
