I have had low voltage spots for 15 yrs and there are two points of failure, the seal on the cover, and the connectors. I have given up on the connectors, they always fail, and while these are an interesting design I’m not a fan of shaving off the insulation with a knife (holding the line in your hand!?) I would recommend using outdoor wire nuts, use a bigger size to handle the higher gauge wires as you need to splice the line. This is the only way that works over a couple years. What I like about these lights is the seal on the cover with two screws. Maybe corrosion makes it hard to get these off down the road but it’s worth a try; the half screw on cap on other models is a disaster. They get moisture and ants inside and everything rots within 3 yrs. I have had to replace so many of these other models. The lights are bright and well made, I give them a high rating for giving me hope. Tips on LV lights: Don’t bury the line if you don’t have to. You will dig in the garden later and you will invariably put a shovel through it as you will forget where the line is. Lay the line on top and put mulch over, or run it through the garden bed where you won’t miss it 3 yrs later. Also, around the light where you have connected the wire nuts, leave 6 inches of line on both lines slack around the light. Give yourself line to work with if you have to change these out the future because you will. Just hopefully not every three years like these other, truly crap design alternatives.

These things are awesome! Way better than the cheap plastic ones I got that clouded up and didn't work half the time.

Very good lights. Easy to install. Very bright, unlike lesser led lamps. Solidly built. One thing I will mention is that it’s sort of odd that the connector from the light wires to the cable appears to semi open after it’s connected. Ie water might get in. I just sealed with electrical tape to ensure no issues. (It’s raining like crazy now so tonight is the ultimate test!)

I installed 4 out of the 6 I received today . While fairly cheap these lights seem to be quality built .They're a little smaller than more expensive units plus the light that's produced is warm white which gives a nice glow . Two each were installed to light up 2 palm trees in both corners of our backyard & look very nice .
