Clean Tabs Puri Water Cleaner and Purifier - Blue, 400 g (Package may vary)

This is a regular buy which I use to purify and clean out the fresh water tank on our motorhome. Good stuff.

Clean tabs is fantastic for cleaning out my caravans pipes before usage. I have tested this a couple of times now it has a slight bleach smell but it’s really easy to use by adding to your water butt it cleans the pipes in use and once flushed through the water tastes great. Great value for what it does.

I bought an old caravan that hadn't had the water system used for over 10 years, so needed to flush the whole system. This cleaner was simple to use and gave excellent results, allowing me to use the water system for everything, including drinking. It includes simple instructions on dilution quantities and how to use it. No residual taste left after use from either the barrel or pipes.The quantity in the tub is plentiful and will last for many future system flushes after any periods of not using the caravan.

Ok, so let’s get the white elephant out of the way. This isn’t tablets, it’s powder.The description says “tabs”, but you can’t blame the seller or Amazon for that - it’s exactly as the product is described on the tub.I used this to clean out a 100 litre tank at the start of the season. I took a 1.5 litre bottle of water, emptied some, and topped up with 22 teaspoons of Puriclean. Give it a good shake, many shakes, and it dissolves ok. Then pour it in the empty tank and top up with water until the tank is full.I drove around the block to swish it round a bit, left it a few hours, then flushed it out through all of the taps and shower, emptying the water tank.It smells like chlorine / bleach. Not unpleasant but definitely chemical.I then topped up the water tank again, two more times, and emptied it all through the taps (don’t forget to go hot/cold hot/cold to get it through the hot water tank too).In total, 3 full tank fills. 1 with Puriclean, 2 more to rinse. This is enough to clean it all, and rinse it out to lose the smell.Took about 2 hours in total including the drive (8 hours if you include the 6 hour waiting time for the solution to rest in the tank).This needs doing twice a year, well worth the time and negligible cost.

This product does what it says and thoroughly cleaned our water carrier ready for using on our boat. However the packaging is not good. The lid was hard to remove and came off suddenly, showering the contents over the worktop.
