Q: How many cartridges does it come with, and it says for use with the blue cartridge, im assuming putting a black cartridge in there will do no harm?

Well this may not be relavent but although the pen only comes with one cartridge,as a Registrar I have to use a special ink.So I purchased a converter to allow me to use the ink. I have used many fountain pens in my time,all of which cost three times or more than this,but I must say this is the best pen I have ever had.So maybe you might consider purchasing a converter and a bottle of ink and step back in time as well as use less plastic...you will not be sorry. Q: Can you confirm the appropriate converter? (eg Z24 or Z28 etc)

The Z28 converter was previously the Z24, and is suitable or all fountain models of the LAMY AL-star, LAMY joy, LAMY nexx, LAMY nexx M, LAMY safari and LAMY vista range.
