Its an awesome, quick, convenient way to get a boost of energy.
Let me start off by saying the bad reviews on here really made me question whether or not I should purchase run gum. However through both Nick Symmonds youtube videos ( in which his generosity and genuine passion for the sport of running are frequently on display) and some actual research on the product i decided to get it, and i have no regrets.I bought the winter green mint flavor, and it works amazing. Chew it for 5 to 10 minutes and wait maybe another 2 and boom, im powered up and feel ready to focus on school, my workout, or whatever.Taste: id love for the mint to be a bit more potent, like just more actual mint or menthol or whatever in the flavoring to really give you a cooling effect would be nice, id give flavor a 7.5/10 as its decent but definitely can be improved. Theres no bitter after taste like many try and claim, and theres no bruning or tingling sensation in my mouth. no smokiness reminiscent of cigarettes' as i saw in another review. and it definitely doesn't taste like cleaner or chemicals. What i believe those people are describing is tasting something that isn't full of sugar, and therefor not tasty to them, as they enjoy sugar a bit too much as most people do (myself included)consistency: I for the life of me have no clue what people are talking about when they call this crumbly dry, and not gum like. Im a pretty big edm fan, and have been to many festivals, edc las vegas included.when your on, well lets just say when you are on one, you mouth becomes about as dry as the dessert. You pop a piece of gum in to keep urself from biting ur lip and to get ur mouth a bit moist, but you come to realise that the gum has turned to sand in your mouth. THAT is what crumbly gum is.Run gum works perfectly, nice consistency, and as soon as i pop it in my mouth starts salivating like crazy, only way i could imagine the gum becoming crumbly is if you are dehydrated, and decided to chew on the piece that you left out in your car for two weeks straight.Price: the price is great, idk what the hell people are talking about calling this an expensive product. its three times cheaper than redbull, or any other premade energy or workout beverage. Hella people go to starbucks daily, buys case upon case of energy drinks, etc. That is a ton of money to spend on caffeine, that doesnt even hit when you want it to. Ive had so many times where i drink a rebull at like 11 am for it to only start to kick in around 4 or 5 ish in the afternoon. Run gum is effectively 1 cent per mg of caffeine.redbull is literally 3.7 cents per mg of caffeine. Plus its packed full of sugar and bad for your health.energy/effectiveness: when i use run gum the energy is a bit different than a cup of coffee. the thing that i definitely feel hitting first is the vitamin b12. I've taken alot of different sups containing b12, even just the straight up b12 pills when i had a deficiency as a child. It gives you this calm, long endurance type of energy. its not like a jittery sugar rush or caffeine buzz, but more of just a calm, focused, and controlled source of energy that endures through whatever task your doing and then some. The taurine Definitely increases focus. Taurine helps your nervous system sections centered around heart and brain function, so it can really help bring you to balance when your feeling off and out of it, as well as possibly helping your hippocampus with proper and smooth function. In other words, it makes it easier for your brain to make mental notes and recall them at a later date because everything is functioning in smooth and working order. The caffeine obviously does what caffeine does, but to have something that kicks in within under 30 minutes of consumption is just awesome, the fact that i dont have to swallow a pill is even better.my only actual complaint is there isnt a bulk order option. id just by two or three half pound bags in different flavors if that was an option.next time im def ordering the variety pack to see which flavors really pop. Thanks Nick and the Run Gum team, i dont drink energy drinks anymore!

Tastes great, works fast, easy on stomach!
Caffeine triggers my acid reflux (GERD) symptoms, so I'm always on the lookout for products that deliver caffeine while bypassing the G-I tract. Chewing gums or lozenges help achieve this goal by delivering caffeine sublingually. There are other caffeine gums on the market, but they are all either mint or cinnamon flavored (which are also known GERD triggers). So, it's great to see a product that has a different flavor, and is therefore gentler on the stomach.Even if you're not a GERD patient, sublingual delivery is much faster than tea or caffeine -- it goes straight to your brain without needing to be processed by the digestive tract. The taste of this gum is great. Does the flavor wear off after a while and reveal a different undertaste? Yes, but so does every other caffeine gum I've tried. It comes with the territory -- that's just the taste of caffeine! If you want a chewing gum tastes like bubble gum with zero caffeine aftertaste, I suggest you stick with children's bubble gum instead. Buy yourself a pack of Bubble Yum or Dubble Bubble and leave this product for the adults.Does the texture change some after you chew this for a while? Yes, but again if that bothers you, you're using this wrong and for the wrong reasons. I chew the gum just enough to soften it and break the shell, after which I put it under my tongue and leave it there. If you keep chewing it until the end, you're going to swallow most of the caffeine with your saliva -- which will slow down the delivery process, trigger symptoms in those who can't digest caffeine, and just generally detract from some of the best features of this product. In summary: understand what this is, why it's so great, and use it accordingly. This product is invaluable for its quick caffeine delivery and gentleness on the stomach -- but it's not the bubble gum of your childhood and it needs to be used differently to leverage its benefits. For those of you just looking to recreate your childhoods, buy some kiddy bubble gum and stick to coffee. This is not for you.

Energy boost
There was an after taste that I didn't particularly like, however it did have an energy boost that I did like.

Long time buyer, last two boxes have been defective
I'm a long time buyer of this product, I have bad Acid Reflux and can't have coffee but still very much need caffeine, and this has been very much preferable than drinking Coke in the morning like I did while I was in college. According to my amazon account, I've bought it upwards of 60 times. During this time, occasionally I would get a pack that would start out like gum, but turn into fuzzy liquid in my mouth, which sounds gross because it is really gross. But it's only ever been a one off, until my last two purchases, both bubblegum flavor. The first pack has had all of the gum disintegrate, I continued to try them but it was the same all along. So I went to order more, figuring this was just a bad batch, and I wouldn't have the same issue again. I wanted to get fruit flavor, but it didn't have prime shipping for some matter, so I got bubblegum again. It arrived last night and I just tried it.....same problem. And of course this isn't returnable and there's no way to contact the seller directly, so I'm making a last ditch effort here to make this right, because I'm currently out $40 and that's a lot for gum. Unless I can get a refund and an assurance this isn't going to happen with future purchases, I'm going to have to move to a different product because I can't keep doing this and risk wasting money.Sorry for the gross photo of my garbage can, but the white liquid pictured is what the gum turns into.
