Q: i've tried to buy this clock from amazon but it keeps arrived smashed, do you know where i can buy it in a shop please? UK

Hmmm strange. Mine arrived in good condition.

Q: Does the second hand tick?

It ticks. You can remove the screw from the back and take off the second hand. But one thing I would say is, this is very inferior quality / fragile and tends to fall apart very easily. I bought 3, and 2 of them were damaged as within first 30 mins. Ended up throwing them in the bin.

Q: Can you replace the hands as mine have stopped. I don’t think I can use normal clock hands an as they only go round in 12 hours.

Things to check first - the battery, of course, then whether the machinism is moving properly. You could test this by putting a drop of tippex on the concentric spindles for the minutes and the hours. If they appear to be moving appropriately over the course of a day then I expect that that conventional hour, hour minute and second hands will fit. the only difference in a 24 hour clock is that the hour hand moves at 1/2 speed.
