Q: Can I use them while I work as I do a lot of walking

Yes I wear them almost all of the time, it will depend I would think in where you are putting them for example if you are using them on your feet and you walk a lot they may affect you but I forget I have them on and the adhesive is very strong.

Hi there, the north pole is calming, reduces inflammation & over-activity on areas in the body or acu-points, and so relieves pain, whereas the south is more stimulating and increases activity. North pole is often used because it's safer, because should a south pole be accidently placed where there may be a cancer tumour for example it may increase it's growth. But you have to determine which side is best to use based on your condition. Swollen inflammation, boils, muscle pan & heat - North pole should be used. Whereas areas that need invigorating, where the body is repairing & healing, such as broken bones, non septic wounds, scars, may benefit from the South pole. You can also alternate between the two, depending on the need. But WARNING - be careful with acupuncture points as these also serve other areas of the body and inner organs, and placement of magnet depends on what is occurring in the body. Some points may require calming with North, some points may require enlivening with South. Yes, I put one on my thumbs and fingers that twinge as well as arthritic toes and they work very well. I usually leave them on for 8 hours or more.
