It is an update from a similar product. the improvement for me is that it no longer requires a PC with parallel port

Arrived as expected, replaced existing older model, with no issues

We needed a tractor feed printer because we have to print roundsheets for paperboys. Our programme is very old.Took my husband ages to find how to change the paper size, its set at 12 inches and our listing paper is 11 inches so after every page printed the print would be further down the page. We found a manual on line and after trying for about 3 hours he eventually managed to change the setting to 11 inches. Printer works great now but what a palaver! THese printers tend to live for about 3 years, our last one was a epson lx 300 and we had the same problem with that one 3 years ago.

Having just purchased this new printer, it doesn't come complete with a USB to use with a computer or a laptop, there for you would have to run around any electrical to find the right cable's, if it was Wireless there wouldn't be any problems.

I have long wanted a dot printer, having much continuous fanfold paper to use and being aggravated by the cost of bubblejet ink carts. The first LX_350 I received was quite unable to hold the paper positions, that is, Top-of-form and Tear-off for the 11 inch page length. Every attempt to set positions made things worse. Much worse. Another fault, a very annoying design 'feature', was the sculpturing of the (transparent) paper guide, which guaranteed that the thin paper caught at either, or both, sides, leading to total jams. WHY DO THAT! The design It isn't required for thing to work! Success of form over function.I was able, thanks to Amazon, able to have the printer replaced with different one. I was able to re-work the the paper guide so that at lease that item worked. I was also able to to set the top-of-form and tear-off positions, providing that the the Eject/Load was used before starting print. Sadly, the device still loses the tear-off position after a short multi-page run. I have given up now and just put up with it.The printer would likely be quite alright for single A4 sheets. Then, you would be better off with a Brother HL-2013 Laser printer anyway.Many years ago I had an Epson FX-80. No problems. 20 years or so to disimprove a device. AVOID.
