Good starter kit - Instructions need improving
I have yet to complete this, However with any form of model making one requires patience and time. Providing you follow the instructions you will end up with watch you achieved. You cannot expect everything laid on plate for you, Beside gluing the matches together you will need to fold parts of the cardboard cut outs along areas of the dotted line in order to create shapes of the cathedral, As each stage is created there is sandpaper included to lightly sand any uneven surfaces. The cutting tool makes it easy to cut the matchsticks to your precise length so if you miscalculate you can cut another one. any odd size Matchsticks you cut can be used elsewhere. What It does not tell you this in the instructions where you have curves to make, soak them in water beforehand so they become pliable to bend, then use the cutting tool for the required length. If you try to bend a matchstick without soaking them they will snap, this is from previous experience. Some of the Matchsticks will need to be cut beyond the folded lengths to get right angles, you can mitre them in if you prefer but not necessary. On Completion there are pictures of the doors, windows etc. i would have preferred these to be made out of matchsticks and working so you can open and close them. The model can be stained, painted if required but these would need to be purchased. This is a lot smaller than thought it would be - I could not find the size when i purchased it and it does not tell you on the box. Some parts are a little tricky but would be a good starter for semi beginners, however the instructions are little sparse and therefore needs some imagination. There appears very limited Matchstick building kits on the market so much so some people have gone to the extreme of designing there own. there are Kits on a bigger scale you can purchase but I would like to see something larger or something more intricate, I was hoping to purchase a large old sailing ship with sails and everything but could not find one, you can buy these in wooden kits forms, but not made out of matches.

Micro
This item (nothing to do with Seller) is as fiddly as it could be, too much detail on such a small item, the pre formed card has not been scored to make it easy to fold therefore it is impossible to put together. In the end I kept the matchsticks and cutter and threw the rest into the bin, I would never waste my money on something like this again.

Not finished yet.
The model is exceptional , unfortunately with failing eyesight I am finding it very difficult. I wish that I had chosen something with square lines and not so many curves.
