Q: What's the difference between this and the skywatcher heritage-90 virtuoso auto tracking telescope please?

Their doesn't seem to be any difference. They both use cassegrain optics. I think this is the exact same telescope only instead of using the name Virtuoso they have put Cassegrain. Hope this helps.

Q: does this have to be collimated

Its more that it can't be (re)colimated. So if they've glued the mirrors in incorrectly at the factory, as was the case with the one I received, there's nothing you can do but return it. If you get a good one and look after it, it should stay in colimation.

Q: Is this a go to scope?

No, this is an auto-tracking scope, not a goto. It will follow the earth's rotation when you point at a star. It doesn't use any software that assist the telescope to point at specific stars..
