The media could not be loaded. Good quality Calcium Silicate blocks used for soldering with a blowtorch.They came in a cardboard box with one thin sheet of paper to protect them. My ones were intact, but I think there’s a high chance these will often come chipped or broken if this packaging is standard.I tested the blocks with a blowtorch and they took the heat well with no smell or damage to the paper underneath.They are quite thick (1 inch) and come in two precise blocks that can be pushed together neatly. You could also use one overlapping a section of the work area you need to keep cool while the other acts as the base.*Note: the block may take a good bit of time to cool after use.*I recommend finding safe storage for these if they aren’t kept out on your workbench as they are fragile.***If you found this review helpful then please take the time to leave truthful, constructive reviews on items you buy here as that is how we pay it back.***

Do they do the job…..yes however they are not as robust as my original block and so from a personal perspective I was initially a little disappointed. That said I’ve used them a number of times now and they do perform.If I had not already had a block I have no doubt that I would have given a higher score.It should be stated that the cost I thought was very competitive.

This heat matt (block) is just right plus i got two in this package, light and good quality, aswell as being quite chunky.

Works really well for soldering with a flame.

Good quality calcium silicone blocks for heat protection while soldering. Light weight while still strong enough not to easily break
