Works as designed, good quality

Installed great, works great. Use a (cheap) router to install, not an oscillating saw like in the youtuve videos! And take the door off…!

One was bent so had to return but was exactly what I needed

Cutting the groove in the doors is the only tricky part. Only because my router skills are not that great. But after a few practice cuts on scrap wood, it was easy enough to get these installed in our doors. The recessed design means we don't look at them when the doors are closed. We are using them on fan-fold doors in the inner hinge section of one fold. They cannot be seen until we open the first fold then release the pin on the second fold. The only wish we had was to have a longer pin. These reach just fine but 1/4 inch longer would be preferred.

The media could not be loaded. Pretty easy to install, even with almost zero experience! Because of the shape of the latch, you basically just need to carve out a rectangular cube, which is a lot easier than some of the alternatives and makes it more DIY friendly. Didn’t do the best job in making that rectangle, but it still turned out great! My door feels solid now!

They were just the right size and hold door secured well

This product looks nothing like the picture. The picture looks like something made out of solid metal with machining a quality product that you would expect it to be. But unfortunately, when you get it, you find out that it’s cheap Chinese trash stamp sheet metal. The down rod is so short, but if you were planning to use this for any sort of security or anything whatsoever normal use, it would break the moment you actually tried to use it. I wish Amazon would stop allowing these Chinese manufacturers to sell their garbage.
