Q: How does the waterproofer look on a tan top? Will it darken it, and will it cover up or magnify appearance of minor scratches?

I used it on a camel color canvas top and it works and looks fantastic! Didnt change the color at all and any existing stains werent magnified .

Q: does this product seal thread seams?

The trick is to dab and poke the solution into fine details - it’s a water consistency, so tends to easily roll off - you MUST have patience and diligence when applying. Use soft bristle high-quality brush, paint on in real small zones. DO NOT let it get on glass or paint, and dry - IT WON’T COME OFF. To answer your question, yes, it’s a most effective product. Highly recommend masking off glass and paint first, real good, before you start applying. My next time, I think I’ll try a very small foam type paint roller, instead of a brush, and go REAL slow.
