Good buy, good product!
Very nice! It’s heavy enough that it isn’t going to tip over easily and well vented so the tea light candles can burn effectively. The hobnail pattern matches the 20 oz. cast iron teapot I have. Nothing obstructs the flame;it is directly below the pot. The removable top makes it easier to insert and light the tea lights as well as clean the warmer if necessary. For tea light candles that have low, weak flame, I put a glass fermentation weight in the bottom, set the tea light on that and it brings the flame up to a point where it’s more effective. The objective is to use one tea light candle to keep tea at the temperature I want. I’m would rather use otherwise ineffective tea lights that I have rather than trash them.

Lovely little thing, looks good and works a treat.
Really great little product. It's a lot more attractive than the impression give in the photograph, and a lot heavier than it looks. It would take some effort to knock this off wherever it is placed. Tea light candles fit inside without any fiddling, and air flow is excellent. Four holes around the base allow the unit to draw more than enough air to feed the flame. While we did initially purchase a heat resistant mat for this to sit on, it's not necessary. Heat transfer from the tea light, even without a mount plate is minimal and this is safe on the majority of surfaces. It works perfectly, and we've been using it to keep coffee hot in a glass pot, the liquid is kept nice and hot as long as the candle burns, so no worries over like warm or cold drinks. This item is well made and attractively finished and looks a treat on the dining table and out in the yard on summer evenings. Really pleased with the purchase, and to save us carrying around I'm very tempted to buy another one.

Impressive
I'm very impressed that one tea light candle can keep my tea so warm! I also tried 2 tea lights and the tea was very hot! Great idea. Works brilliantly with my iron cast teapot.

Cast iron tea light tea warmer.
I like this item, there seems to be some confusion as to what this item can be used for. It's a cast-iron teapot heater for use with a cast iron teapot, normally used to heat a large amount, 1 liter, of black tea for all-day consumption of black tea. Black tea needs high temperatures for long periods of time the longer and hotter the better the tea, normal kettles only reach 90 or less and then cool down and black tea tastes bad like this. You would normally heat a large cast-iron teapot, 1 liter, with tea loose black tea on a special cast iron warmer that can be used on a hob, the hob warmer heats the tea over one hour, towards the afternoon you can move the teapot to a warmer like this one that uses tea lights to continue to brew the black tea. This is even more important if you drink white tea as it needs even higher temp at longer times than even black tea. Now, having griefed people about the use of this item you can do what you want with it, but I wanted to share the world of tea with you and hope you will use it for its intended use. There aren't many tea shops in the UK mainly coffee. But there are great tea importers on amazon and you can get every tea from All around the world. I don't recommend putting this on a hob as it's dangerous. buy the hob warmer which can be used with all hobs including induction hobs if you want to do this as it is specifically designed to be less dangerous, I don't recommend putting a China teapot on this, it is just bad for the ceramics as they are not for use with open flames and I don't recommend putting a glass teapot on this it will ruin both ceramics and glass teapots, it is also not a hob warmer so don't put it on your hob.I do recommend this item it is excellent.

nice and looks good
I had several glass teapots with different warmers. none of them lasts long. this time chosen a cast iron one. So far so good. actually the colour of the tea is much better which can be due to containing more heat. very happy with it. Having said that, I have just used it for less than a month.
