The reality is that while groundhogs may find the noise uncomfortable, if they have already dug a burrow and have access to food sources in the yard or garden, a noisy neighbor such as this device is unlikely to be successful in driving the animals away.

The sonic alarm definitely let both ( you and her) know that something is going on. You can use even ultrasonic sound, but I recommend switch the ultrasonic frequency every 2nd day to avoid adapting. By night I recommend setting #5 mix ultrasonic frequency and strong strobe light or just leave the alarm sound, depends on your neighbor, I guess.

Q: can this be hardwired into my 12V landscape lighting cable? we have a shade garden where solar power really doesn't work.

Hi, don't forget it have rechargeable baterrries and when constantly plug in it loose a power much more quickly. Without batteries it will not work the plug in is for recharge only.
