These are great. Heavy duty. I have the Klein version and these can actually twist wires when the Kleins would just separate and twist

Solid tool for stripping Romex cable
I was doing a basement recessed light retrofit and bought this to cut and strip 14/2 romex cable. It’s very well built and worked flawlessly. Ergonomic and cut through cable with ease. Must have tool for any electrical project.

Great tool
Nice ergonomic design. The latch is just where you’d want it. Strips 12 and 14 gauge wire perfectly, every time. Pliers are heavy duty and broad, do you can grip and twist wire nuts. This is my new “go to” tool.

Man, using this tool is so much easier than trying to strip the white romex from the wires than using a knife & side cuts. Should have ordered this a long time ago.

Worth the Price
I was disappointed to realize that only two Romex stripping tools were available on Amazon and the Big Box Home Store. They are uncommon, so it’s fault of the market and not either store.This product was a little more expensive than the self-adjusting tool. The latter looked like it would be more difficult to use, so I opted for a tool specifically made for stripping 12/2 and 14/2 Romex. This tool easily stripped two Romex ends right out of the box. Even has two bolt shearing holes, a wide plier-type grip for fat cords, and a loop hole for making j hooks. Feels sturdy and high-quality. Worth the price of almost $30!
