Sperry Men's Authentic Original Plushwave Boat Shoe

Have been wearing Ice Sperry Topsiders for years. Nowadays, I have to buy them when they are available at a reduced price.

My son wears Top Siders every day. Work and Play !! His Dockers and Top Siders take him from work to after work cocktails and dinner. On a busy schedule, he is always dressed appropriately. His shirts and jackets can "dress them up", or remain casual. He is president of an International Corporation and must travel. Comfort is necessary. His Topsiders have touched Africa, Amazon jungles, Europe and Asia. His fishing boat knows the sound of his shoes hitting the deck! Sperry shoes are priced for quality and comfort and come in any style, plus, there are no surprises when you order a pair. (or 2!) They fit, look good, and will comfortably go anywhere you take them. Your body wears out before your shoes ! :)

These shoes were a very good purchase. I've worn them almost every day for a year, and while they haven't held up perfectly, I feel they are worth it. Soon after buying, one of the insoles came unglued, and one of the soles cracked along the tread. All it needed to fix was a little super glue and I'm still wearing them, no problem. The leather has been scuffed and wet several times, and just needs regular applications of mink oil to keep them looking like new. I haven't had any threads pull or leather separation at all, which is surprising. A comparably priced pair of tennis shoes would look horrible after this treatment, so I'd call it a good buy.

Just a note this style runs narrow. I have bought other Sperry's shoes and had no issues with size 9.5 (US). It is actually what I wear practically every day. However, this one I could not even get my foot in the size 9.5. Sperry quality is good and the show looked well made, so would recommend if it fit you.

Along with a few other colors, this shoe has a grained leather in this color. It is a fantastic fit and very comfortable without socks! Great summer shoe, especially nice for walking. They are not cushy, but the support is there. Usually a 1/2 size bigger than your regular size is needed for this type of shoe, and they are comfortable in only a day or two out of the box. Been getting it for years and they last!

At 86 years old, my yachting days are gone (other things, too). I have worn the Sperry ICE color since 1954. I thought that I was super cool on a 42 ft. Owens, powered by twin Chrysler Marine Gray 115 hp engines, displacement 13 tons. In this shoe, Sperry has exceeded all expectations and has evidently introduced innovations. This is absolutely the most comfortable shoe that I have ever worn. And I wear Florsheim Imperials (Italy, no longer available) and Bally - this shoe is MY SHOE. I settled for this color because I could not find my ICE color. Now, I prefer this color. It goes with the yacht that I don't have.
