Joico Intensity Semi-Permanent Hair Color, Orchid, 4 Ounce

I wouldn’t recommend this product for anyone that wash their hair often. The product does bleed out the color since it’s not permanent dye especially when using hot water. My hair dresser used this one me to make me hair color more vibrant. I just bought it myself and put in my hair to keep up the look. You do need to get a special shampoo that will not wash this color out. I have lighter brown hair on bottom and it dye stay in my hair. It’s very easy to put on .. make sure your hair is clean and dry. Put the dye in the desire hair and just wait and wash off. You do need glove because the dye does stay your hands but nothing that can’t be removed.In the sun, you’re able to notice my hair is purple but in the dark. It can pass for brown. That’s what I wanted me something that is eye catching but not to drastic. I love it and I got many compliments for it.

Got today. Faster than expected. Used on 10 year old. She was slightly disappointed it didn't show up a more vibrant purple but when she saw it against a white shirt in brighter light she was happier. I didnt saturate her hair as much as i did my 13 year olds so that might be why it isnt quite as noticeable too. Overall easy to use and they liked it. And i get to be a cool mom for a day (hour-whatever) 🤪 oh! Make sure to use an after color conditioner!

I have black hair naturally and had my hair professionally lightened to do a red or purple balayage a few times over the last two years. My last salon visit was about three months ago and I was looking for cheap fix before another expensive visit to my stylist, so I bought this based on the positive reviews and pics. I was hoping for a bit more vibrant orchid/purple, but instead got more of a burgundy color, which I don’t mind. All in all, not bad! I wash my hair every other day, so we’ll see how well/long it holds up! I’d buy again, but I’ll probably try another shade of purple next time.

I used this in my daughter's hair 3 weeks ago. It has faded slightly...and that is after 2-3 washes, playing in the sprinkler, and being out in the heat and humidity. It was easy to use and the color was pretty. It didn't coat the hair perfectly despite being meticulous applying it, but overall I would use this again.

I had an umbre done at a salon for $180. It washed out in 4 weeks. I used this product unsure of what to expect. It’s been 2 months and the color has held. It is as deep as it was on day one. I noticed the difference between the salon job and Joico right away. The salon color rubbed on my pillowcase. Despite following all the salon’s instructions, I lost a lot of color each time I washed my hair. The Joico has never rinsed out even when I had to use regular shampoo in place of a color-saving shampoo. It is difficult to apply yourself. I would recommend having a friend assist. I will definitely buy this again.

Bought this for my daughter to help cheer her up ref being stuck in the house. She has brown hair & I was not going to lighten her hair due to she is younger & I dont want to start that yet. So I was expecting much color do to her shade of brown, but I was pleasantly surprised. It colored it vibrantly even tho I did not lighten it, & she loves it! Can't say on the longevity yet due to we only did it 4 days ago!

I have been using this product for over a year. I go every two months to my stylist to have my hair colored. I use both the Joico Amethyst purple and Orchid to have my hair colored. My stylist bleached my hair regrowth and colors my hair using the amethyst purple at the roots and the orchid on the rest of my hair. As with most vibrant colors, this has to be reapplied frequently to maintain the bright color. I wash my hair every single day because I work out and I don't like dirty hair. In order to maintain my look I recolor my hair every two weeks. This product produces a beautiful and vibrant color. I get SO many compliments on my hair! Highly recommend this product and will keep using it!

First time using joico brand.First of all Joico color intensity smells really nice.I applied the dye to pre lightened hair, the consistency of joico color intensity is really thick which we found quite difficult to make sure all my hair was coloured as it didn't seem to want to penetrate through the hair. So it took ages to make sure it was all covered.After rinsing out, the colour had grabbed in most places but not in some, there were streaks of blonde and different shades of purple and pink basically it was a patchy and wishy washy but it didn't look horrible. I still got compliments lol.I then ordered more of the colour. Applied again 3 days later. We found the product was easier to apply as my hair had had chance to settle after been bleached 3 times and it wasn't as dry. After rinsing..... The colour this time was absolutely gorgeous, very vibrant and the colour was more even.The colour doesn't seem to transfer on to my pillow as much as other brands, which is always good.I can't comment on how it fades after washing as I haven't yet done that, but when rinsing after applying the colour the water did quite quickly run clear. All the other brands I have used before have NEVER done that, there has always been quite alot colour in the water after every wash and never run clear.Not given full 5 star due to having to reapply twice as it didn't grab properly the first time and was very patchy, despite leaving on longer than advised and applying heat to help process(I also had a cap on to stop it drying out.)And because the product could do with been a little bit thinner consistency so it penatrates the hair easier when applying. But that could just be personal preference

This dye has a very thick constancy but very smooth and easy to apply. The tube shows purple, and the pictures are very purple, but it was very pink. For reference my before and after pictures at attached. I've use this dye in the past on my virgin hair and it was much more purple. I like it, just not what I expected haha. My hair is 3ft 2 inches and quite thick. I purchased 3 tunes. Next time I will purchase 4. I had just enough but cut it close and was watering it down in the end.

J'avais les cheveux rouge/magenta ( une teinture permanente) et voulais ajouter un peu de mauve pour faire changement.Je l'ai appliqué comme une teinture avec un pinceau sur tous les cheveux, j'ai presque tout utilisé le tube de coloration.Par contre je trouve le résultat très foncéA la place de faire des reflet mauve ... c'est plutôt bourgogne.Je suis un peu déçue mais j'espère qu'avec le temps ça va pâlir à mon goûtJe ne suis pas encore convaincu... je vais sûrement essayer une autre compagnie afin de comparer.A suivre...

The colour hold really well in healthy hair. My ends faded a lot quicker but that’s simply my fault for them being porous and damaged. The healthier parts of my hair were still vibrant almost 7 weeks after applying the colour. I did bleach my base first to get the most out of the colour. I will say, it was a little more pink than I originally wanted. I was hoping for a more cool purple.

This product arrived with its contents all inside the individual bag it was put/ shipped in. So there is very little product left in the actual container. My children used what they could, however it was very messy and ruined a few towels. I think the issue was that the lid was not fully closed on the purple container. They did do their hair and it looks wonderful. I would buy this product again and hope it was all in the container it was suppose to be in.
