Incredible Value for the Price
I was amazed at all that came with this lovely easy to use machine. I had started a project making drapes for my living/dining rooms and run into problems with my older Brother machine. I took it in to be cleaned and fixed and $125 layer it worked for a week then started acting up again. I decided the heck with it I would just get a simple Singer that I can use for what I see. Mostly clothing curtains, drapes and roman type window coverings. I hadn't even read all that came with this machine. I read the ratings trusted them and viola, wonderful easy sewing. Drapes are going very quickly now and I couldn't be happier with this machine. The price given all the extra's that came with it is incredible. You can't go wrong with this machine. I bought mine new because I have in the past not had good luck with reconditioned machines. I have a feeling with this one reconditioned would have been just as good.

Broke inless than a week of use
I really thought I would love this machine. It was beautiful not to big or heavy. Unfortunately while trying to put a button hole in my second project something broke inside. I had to send it back. I'm sure it is just one of those things. After sending it back in ordered the quantum stylist 9960

This is a nice sewing machine
This is a nice sewing machine, but it definitely won't last me 5-10 years like I'd hoped. The bobbin cover is finicky & pops off during use. It is touchy & troublesome to use at times.

Not you grandma's sewer! It has a ton of stitching patterns, most I'll probably never use, but I have them if I ever do need to. I bought this because of all the stitches and it has nearly every attachment you can get; and cheaper than I could buy a sewer and all the attachment this came with. Plus the extension table. The only problem I've had so far was when I was sewing heavy webbing onto a feed bag, the machine became out of time a few times and I had to reset the timing of the needle and bobbin.

... got my Singer Sewing S800 last month and I love it!
I got my Singer Sewing S800 last month and I love it!!! I've had so much fun making baby blankets, bibs and 14 aprons for Christmas. I love all of the beautiful stiches. I'm anxious to use all of the 20 presser feet, the one's I've used so far have been great. The cd & instruction book that comes with the machine is a wealth of instruction. After many years of sewing with a foot petal, it did take a little while to get comfortable with the hand controls, but I love them now. Another one of my favorite features is the self threader. I had to use the instructions in the book for a while, but not it's second nature. Over all I'm very excited about my new machine and I highly recommend it for both beginners and seasoned sewers alike!

want a sewing machine that doesent work? then buy a 800 fashionista.
My husband bought this sewing machine for me as an anniversary present. He knew how much I wanted a sewing machine that would whisk through a project and make professional looking button holes. I was absolutely in love when he showed me this machine. We first saw that the machine was missing some of its presser feet. This did not really bother me at first.. I then started checking outall the features.. I was in love! The sewing machine is very quiet which my husband loves. Now to the terrible news... I was on number 6 of my button holes and the sewing machine just stopped froze up... This is my first "new" sewing machines in 21 years I have a singer simple purchased in 94 and that sews better and shakes less.Would I buy this machine again? Recommend to a friend? Give as a present? NO WAY
