Best Soap for Delicates
This is by far the best soap to wash sweaters, silk pillow cases, delicates, and hand made quilts. It smells wonderful and gets items very clean. It may seem expensive, but a little goes a LONG way. I have the Yuzu scent and it is slightly citric and so yummy. I prefer natural scents and hate many fake perfume scents.

My favorite for delicates
I only purchase non synthetics and have a lot of wool. I love this soak(Lacey is my fav). It cleans gently, doesn’t require a ton of rinsing and smells lovely.

Some scents are better than others
I’ve been using Soak since the pandemic and I think it’s a great product. It’s easy to use with its no-rinse formula and does a good job cleaning. However, I recently purchased the Celebration scent and honestly, it’s just awful. It left my clothes smelling like cinnamon-scented wet dog (and I don’t have a dog). Fig is my favorite and I’ll be returning to that soon.

Soak laundry soap
I soaked my fake leather leggings and they came out clean and no flaking or cracks in the material that people were complaining about on line when washing there's inside out in the washer per instructions.

I use in my laundry machine. A bit expensive, but worth it!
We have an inordinate amount of woolens and delicates in my home. My husband is a bit more suspicious of machine washing, but for many of my sweaters and other delicates as well as the woolens and delicates for my kids, I wash in my machine using scentless Soak. I still bring a bunch of items to the dry cleaner (such as nicer knits/woolen, formal wear, etc., but I find this method works well for me.) After a bit of experimenting, this is what I do:(1) I put items into wash bags for delicates; make sure to only do loads of similar colors together. I found that several cashmere sweaters in bright colors bled a little when handwashing,(2) Squeeze a generous amount of Soak directly on the laundry inside the drum. (I use a front loading HE machine). I also put a good amount into the detergent dispenser. I don't have an exact amount for this since it depends on how much I am washing, but one bottle lasts me about 5-7 good loads (and sometimes much more).(3) Set the presoak setting with COLD wash. This is an important step, because I found this is when my items actually got the "washing" that mimicked handwashing/soaking. If you do not have a presoak setting, I would experiment with the options on your machine. The goal is to get your items soaking in the Soak and water with as minimal agitation as possible. This really serves as the main "wash" portion.(4) Run the items on the delicate setting on COLD wash and then lay flat to dry. (Full disclosure that I actually presoak and then just run a regular wash cold on my items now because I found the very low spin cycle on delicate to leave my clothing so damp it took a long time to dry. I do believe doing this runs a much higher risk of damaging the clothing though. I sometimes also lay out an item on a dry towel with another towel on top and gently roll to help dry.)The laundry will have that wet wool smell if you use the scentless, but this does not bother me and dissipates as it dries. Because we have chemical sensitivities in my family, we have never tried any of the scented versions of this. Soak is meant to be a rinseless soap, but I do prefer to rinse it out. As others have said, this is not a cheap option, but for us, using this for loads of woolens/delicates about twice a month has saved us quite a bit of dry-cleaning. I also find that I am less "precious" with some of my clothing that I might not wear because I don't want to dry clean it. A note that I have also used this for handwashing and found it to be a good product. I simply don't have patience for the washing/rinsing (since I don't like to skip rinsing) and then the drying. For items that I am more careful with and that I absolutely do not want to agitate, I will still handwash.I removed one star because I find that the bottle (simple squeeze bottle) gets messy and that it is a bit expensive. I have this on my subscribe and save, which is a testament to how often I use it and how happy I have been with it so far.

Perfect
I have used this for years and reorder when needed. Perfect for hand knits plus manufactured items. Certainly also my black clothing stays black! No soap residue

SOAK is Perfect
Soak is a great hand wash cleanser. I use it all of my delicates and most of my hand knits. You need just a tiny bit...maybe bit more than a teaspoon in a sink full of water.

Absolutely works as promised! I highly recommend this.
I was skeptical about the instructions to not rinse my sweaters after washing with Soak but was amazed at how soft and clean all my sweaters were (I purchased the unscented one and my sweaters now smell brand new).It makes perfect sense to me that not having to rinse would keep down the abrasion of the wool fibers and avoid the potential of additional stretching of the garment - I just didn't think they would feel clean if the Soak wasn't rinsed out. Boy, was I wrong! While Soak seems expensive at first, One Teaspoon/gallon of water means this bottle should last for a year or more for me. (have to note that my local yarn shop is now selling Soak which I consider a high recommendation!)

Même pas besoin de rincer
Je lave tous mes lainages ou textiles délicats avec ce produit. Je l’utilise surtout pour bloquer un ouvrage en tricot et c’est génial.

Revolutionary
This is a miracle worker. Washing woollens has never been easier and I haven’t had a single disaster, even with cashmere. It’s expensive but lasts for ages and is worth every penny.

Gentle Efficient Soap
I use this soaking soap for my underwear and delicates. It works very well, only have to soak for 15 min, and even though I rinse the most delicate items, I don't really need to.After air drying, my clothes is soft, not stiff. I quite like the scent Yuzu also. I would recommend Soak as a wonderful product.
