Farberware FW-WD419 Freestanding Hot and Cold Water Cooler Dispenser with Built In Refrigerator, Black

My old water cooler with refrigerator was freezing up so I purchased this Farberware as a replacement. I have a Zero water filter and needed a top loading water cooler. I also like having the built-in refrigerator to store wine and free up my big refrigerator. These coolers with built-in refrigerators are getting very hard to find. This Farberware is a little smaller than my previous one, but it does the job. I like having cold water on tap and the refrigerator holds drinks so people can get something without having to dig in the big refrigerator. It is especially handy when I have guests. They can get their own water and drinks. The box came in great condition and the cooler was undamaged. Setup was easy. The hardest part was remembering to remove the collar on the cooler for my Zero filter so the filter would fit. It needs a larger opening. It came just in time for out of town guests and is still working after a week.

It is pretty nice, I really like it. However, when it arrived the bottom hinge that holds the door was broken. First I thought it might of being me the one that broke it, but after reading a few other reviews, it appears that is a common problem. It is noisy at times, not all the time. It sounds as if there are little dwarfs or people inside the unit... making and breaking the ice. The water does come out nicely cold and the hot water also worked. Overall, I am satisfied with the purchase for the price.

The cooling unit runs constantly and never cuts off. Water is not as cool as when new. Love this. I bought one at Lowe’s last year and the water tasted like plastic for alampar a year. Not this one. We are loving it.

This thing is really short. My fault for not looking. It is also very loud and makes clicking noises. Other than that seems to work fine water is cold

I'm not impressed, but, unfortunately, it's all I could find. It replaced a GE Profile tri-dispenser with refrigerator on bottom. It died the unit is no longer manufactured. I ended up with the Farberware because it was the only one I could find. The refrigerator's cooling ability is mediocre at best, and the capacity lacking. It'll do until something better comes along.

This unit replaced a GE unit we really liked. It is much shorter than he one it replaced. It is louder, and holds 6 drinks below in the refrigerator. Our old one held 25.
