Ignore the negative comments. This fan is fabulous!!!
The media could not be loaded. Noise in video is NOT the fan!!!! We first saw this fan in a B&B in Savannah and absolutely loved it!! Finally took the plunge and ordered our own and we are so happy! I always read negative reviews and as usual customers go overboard in bashing a product for a problem of their own doing (incorrect wiring) or a problem that the company will gladly help diagnose. This fan looks fabulous on our lanai and was just the finishing touch we needed. It is very quiet. No, it does not create a downdraft on the table below but rather moves the warm air to the side walls so it can properly circulate throughout the area. This is similar to ceiling A/C vents being directly to an opposite wall, moving the air across the ceiling and then down into the room. I appreciate that fact that we can now keep cool during our warm Florida evenings and still have candles on the table that stay lit. My husband installed it himself and said it was the easiest fan he has ever hung. Again, this is an amazing addition to our home. (Noise in video is from a neighbor's malfunctioning pool pump, not the fan)

Nice looking fan
My husband and I just love this fan. Though it was expensive, we did not care to pay it because it was a great investment for our home. So, it was worth the money. At the beginning, we were a little bit concern because there was not enough reviews or feedback to see whether this product was good ( good air flow, great lighthing). Thus, we decided to leave it to chance and buy it to see if it was what we expected. It certainly did!!!. My family loves the way this fan looks in our living room. It gives the modern touch we wanted. It has good air flow that goes throuh the kitchen and dinning area which is great. The lighting is fair but not excellent. However, we knew that the lightinjg was not going to be that great. Though, we did not care about that feature because we don't read in that area anyways. It worked perfectly.

I hate this fan
I hate this fan..... Is it the most cost efficient ? NO. Does it throw a lot of air at you? NO... Did I return it? YESIt look's soooo good. and the air pulsates at you.... Like gentle breezes.Okay, what's the problem. The NOISE! A low grind like hum. Enough to make you wonder why such a high priced fanwould sound so bad.

This fan steals the show!
This is a stunning fan. Airlow is quite good, even on the slowest speed (Ours is mounted 8 feet above the floor in a 12 ft tall room). It's almost hypnotic to watch it turn, in either direction. Only caveat is that, like so many newer fans these days, you cannot use a standard fan wall switch with this. We simply found a setting we liked and used a standard single-pole switch.to turn it on and off. We keep the remote in a nearby drawer so we can change the speed and turn the light on/off as needed. Relatively easy to install, my only regret is that the included remote is very clunky looking and as a result we won't be mounting it on the wall as suggested by the mfr.

but it's not so strong that it can move paper like the high setting of other ceiling fans I've had
This fan gets a lot of compliments and was even remarked upon by the installation guys as being the coolest they've seen. I got it installed roughly above the foot of my bed in my bedroom, which is approximately15ftx15ft with 9ft ceilings. There are two other factors to consider beyond aesthetics:Movement - This fan does not produce a strong breeze. I would say its low speed is a 1/10 on the breeze scale, medium is 3/10, and high is 5/10. In the lower two settings, barely feel the breeze. On the high setting, I feel a breeze, but it's not so strong that it can move paper like the high setting of other ceiling fans I've had. Don't expect extreme cooling with this fan.Light - It runs on two 60W candelabra bulbs. Even at the light's highest setting, the light is noticeably dimmer than the two 23W spiral fluorescent light bulbs in my previous fixture. On the bright side, the light does have a dimming switch that is smooth and covers a wide range of lighting. The remote is fairly small, maybe 2x1 or slightly bigger. It comes with a wall hanging bracket that I put over the left side of my current two-light switch plate. The only other item of note is that there is a slight click when the remote is used to turn the fan on, but it is more or less silent while running. I found that Amazon had the cheapest price by a decent amount while I was looking around before purchasing

Don't buy it if you need to cool off or even light up the room, even though it's beautiful
I am so sorry I bought this ceiling fan. It is beautiful. I read before I purchased it that the Fanimation pushes the air out, not down. I was so in love with the look that I dismissed that, figuring I'd love the design so much the rest would fall into place. WRONG. We have this fan over the bed and it barely cools us down a bit. I paid so much for it that I can't justify replacing it, but it does not cool the way a normal fan does. What's more, the light doesn't get bright enough. I have this fan in my master bedroom and the room never gets bright enough at night. Even putting away laundry after dark is kind of creepy. I'd advise you to buy a lamp that doesn't look as good but actually cools you off and lights up the room. Or buy mine so I have the funds to replace it.

Beautiful but imperfect
We bought this ceiling fan because we liked the design so much. Indeed it does look really cool in our bedroom. We were mildly annoyed that the downrod (ordered separately, from another company) took over a week to reach us, whereas we had the fan itself in two days. The worst problem we have is that the motor housing appears to be slightly off-center, so that when the fan runs, there is a visible wobble at the bottom of the can. In spite of this, the fan seems to run smoothly, with no wobble in the blades or the downrod, so we haven't decided to return the unit. Another annoyance is that, even on the high speed, the fan doesn't seem to move much air. This is consistent with the specifications, which do say that the volume of air is less that many other models.
