Rich and tasty + good deal!
This coffee is really great! Very bold and flavorful for a decaf coffee and also fantastic price considering it’s organic.

Wonderful
Wonderful dark roast flavor. Hard to believe it's a decaf.

One of the better decaf coffees
It is tough to find a good decaf coffee that is whole bean, organic and doesn’t taste horrible. This one is pretty good. I tried it on a whim as my regular decaf was unavailable. I use it in an espresso machine so if you’re familiar with that process then you will understand why the 4 stars as opposed to 5. First, these beans are a little more difficult to work with to achieve a perfect extraction. I found myself altering my tamping to make up for the unforgiving nature of the coffee just to get a decent extraction. It was hit or miss but if I could get it in the range then it would make a drinkable latte. I found the flavor of these beans to be more suitable in iced drinks such as iced latte or iced americano. Also, since it is not a “freshly” roasted coffee, I noticed the bean quality deteriorated quickly after opening so I would recommend storing the beans in an air tight container that is made for coffee storage. The beans that I stored in that manner deteriorated far less than beans that I kept tightly sealed in the bag.

Bold and smooth
Love this coffee. Great full flavor. Smells devine. Works well in many preparations. Grinds well too. We typically prepare for French press, moka pot, or espresso. Moka pot and espresso being my favorite. Great creama, smooth, delicious.

Amazing!!!!
So so happy I decided to try this decaf blend. I am pregnant and can no longer tolerate caffeine besides a small cup of coffee. But I am an iced latte every morning kind of girl so I've been making at home for a few months. Started going to dunkin for their decaf iced coffee which is Meh. But bought this to continue making my iced lattes at home and it's so good it tastes like a high end coffee shop latte. Pulls really well after being finely ground even with just my cheap mr.coffee espresso machine. Definitly will be repurchasing when I run out

DECAF Hurricane Espresso-awful and undrinkable. Buy another brand
I bought this for my husband who is the main coffee drinker in the household to try. This bag of DECAF Hurricane Espresso Whole Bean Coffee was purchased on January 15, 2021 but had an expiration date of April 13, 2021. Only three months until expired, so who knows how long ago it was roasted and has been sitting around.Maybe this particular bag of coffee beans was old and stale. The brew was very bitter and had a harsh bite to it, was awful and undrinkable. Not one hint of the milk chocolate, dark berries and brown spice tasting-cupping notes it was supposed to have. It was brewed with a Chemex the same way we brew other brands of coffee beans. We drink coffee black but not even adding cream and sugar would have helped in this case. There is no convenient, built in way to reseal the plastic bag once the top is cut open. All the other coffee brands we've purchased have some built in way to seal the bag once it is cut open. A zip lock or wire tire. (We use Airscape cannisters to properly store coffee beans after opening the bag). On the product order page for this coffee there is no link to contact Organic Coffee Company to notify them that we may have received an old-stale bag of coffee. (Poor customer service and another reason for the low rating).I would suggest buying the consistently good Subtle Earth Decaf, Mayorga Cafe Cubano Decaf or the Kicking Horse Decaf (all three provide prompt, excellent customer support, if needed) instead of this Hurricane Espresso Decaf. These beans are going in the compost.

Tastes burnt, but watery?
I'm assuming I got a bad bag, because most of these reviews can't be talking about the same stuff I received. I waited a couple weeks to open while I finished off the rest of the other coffee I had, but I wish I hadn't. Upon opening they seemed very, very dry and brittle, but figured I'd give it a go anyway. After grinding them up, I made a couple cups in my regular drip coffee maker. It was extremely weak and watery, but burnt tasting. I decided to try again, with a little more grounds. All that did was enhance the burnt flavor, and it still was very translucent and nowhere near a 'dark roast'. I also tried grinding some up a little courser and making cold brew. It was awful, the burnt taste so strong it tasted more like an ashtray than coffee. I threw out the bag they came in since it wasn't resealable, but I know the roast date and expiration date weren't anything too ridiculous or I wouldn't have even opened it. I'm not sure how to reach out to the seller, or that they even would do anything about it since it's been over a month since I bought them. Even though I'm guessing it's just a bad batch, I probably won't be trying them again.
