Great book for kids that are ready to move on from first readers to more words
What you should keep in mind when buying second readers like this is that they are made up of fairly easy words. So the episodes that are taken from are somewhat simplified. These words are appropriate for kindergarten or first grade kids depending on where they are in the learning to read process. If you want readers that more closely follow that episodes of the shows, 3rd readers with more complicated words and a longer story will be a better fit. These books are perfect to get reluctant readers, they help by using something kids already love. This is not really the type of book you'd sit down and read to your kids, but if it starts to spark an interest in reading early, it could work that way as well.So if you have a new reader that loves Umizoomi, try this book. It just might spark a real interest in reading in the future.

Great Book. Not a magazine!!
Great book, this is based on the story when Door Mouse gets accidentally sent to space. Episode was a big hit with my daughter so the book will be too. This is about 30+ pagesIt's a paperback not a hardcover, but not any different the other Step into Reading Books that are also paperbacks. There's previous review on here from another customer that stated this book feels like a magazine?? I beg to differ. The pages are standard book pages, not flimsy like they say. Maybe they should stick to thick board books. We have over 10+ step into reading books, they've lasted for a couple years without any issues. You will get the occasional loose page, but that happens over time.Unless you're running this book over with a car or throwing into the rain, it should last for a while.Great buy! A++++

More like a magazine than a book.
This is very generously called a paperback in the description. It is, however, much closer to a magazine. It only has about 10 total pages and is around 3" X 7". I expect this type of book as the kind of freebee that comes with something else. It reminds me of the highlights magazines. It is a cute story and of course it has the Team Umizoomi characters in it, so my son will love it. It will be read and loved but for $3.99 I wish the pages were a little bigger and the story a longer. I will not buy another of these individually again. If they were to put these in a set of 3-4 and bring down the price per book, maybe, but as it is the "book" will likely get destroyed in a very short time because it is so flimsy.

Good story for early readers
My kids both have enjoyed this book as preschoolers. Short sentences and colorful illustrations along a familiar stories make for a good book for young ones. Shows up great on Kindle.

Best starter books!
This is the perfect book for beginning readers. We have recently started teaching our son how to read and this book is helping immensely. The words are at the perfect learning level for him. A plus is that he loves the characters and the overall story.

I liked it more than my grandchildren did.
My grandchildren love the series but did not engage with the book. They are so into video and I thought I could bridge the gap with a book about some of their favorite video characters, but it did not work. Maybe the timing was wrong and they had other things on their mind. The artwork was nice and I think the story might appeal to other kids.

True to the series
My daughter loves Team Umizoomi and this book was a fun addition to her collection. I like that it follows the actual episode's script, and tells the same story, albeit in much smaller words, as it is geared for beginning readers. It is hard to find TU stuff, so this was an awesome surprise for her. We have read it a ton of times, as well as gone back to the episode.

My 3-year-old daughter loves the story. That being said ...
My 3-year-old daughter loves the story. That being said, all of the pages fell out of the book just from normal use within two weeks. I've ordered a replacement because the story is popular, but the product is poorly made.

Two Stars
Good illustration but poorly written - it reads like it's been translated?!
