I love this camera.
I had wanted to get this for so long. Saw the first commercial back in 2010 and wanted it ever since. The $300 price tag kind of discourage me from getting it, until I saw it here for a much lower price. Obviously, I did my research and saw plenty of review for it on youtube and amazon, all the features, pros, cons and all that. But watching the videos of people actually using them and how amazing the quality was is what really sold me on it. I decided then that my life was too boring without this and I MUST HAVE IT!!! So I got it, the MotorSports edition to be precise, and instantly loved it. I loved the quality of the video and pictures. The menu system was very easy to figure out. I read through the manual a little bit but then started messing with the buttons and figured it all out in under 5 minutes. Low light performance when taking pictures does leave a little more to be desired. You have to be in well lit areas to take good, clear pics with them blurring or so. First thing I did was charge it of course, and I dunked the housing in water without the camera just to make sure that it was fully waterproof...it was. I also got the dive housing for it since I have seen a dozen videos showing the video quality contrast between the regular housing and dive housing underwater. Not sure why gopro couldn't make the regular housing give clear video under water, but the dive housing fixes that issue without forcing you to modify the regular housing yourself and voiding the warranty on it. The dive housing is excellent by the way. The suction cup works great, held on tight even through big bumps and potholes. I haven't used any of the adhesive mounts because I didn't want to waste them on my car. Another accessory I got was the gopole, very useful for recording yourself or going underwater with. I got the 3 foot extension and I really like it. Overall, I really like this camera, looking to do much more with in winter and next summer when I actually learn to swim. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a small, wearable, tough, underwater and all other condition camera.

Average build quality
Camera's overall build quality is far from good. For an action cam, at this price, it's not the best deal I've made. Suction pump works great and holds on to almost any surface, including wooden tables. But at only 3rd usage of the camera, the 3-way Pivot arm is cracked from 2 places. With no shock, no bump, no hit at all. By the way, the 3-way Pivot arm and Suction Pump itself has different kind of plastics. Suction cup mount seems tougher than any part comes with the package. With HDMI output, live previewing is a giant pro.Camera has a good and gradient adaptation between auto exposure levels. Not yet tried underwater but tested on a rainy day, seems good.Last word: This is a nice and practical camera to buy on the market with this budget, but could be better using stronger raw materials.Alp.

The coolest toy I have ever purchased
I just got my Hero2 today and I say I am absolutely in love with it. It is simply the best HD helmet camera out there. I wouldn't even call it a Helmet Camera...I would call it an everything camera. As soon as I unboxed my camera I charged it. It was fully charged in 20 minutes (just about how long it took me to read the instructions) since it comes with a factory charge on the battery, which in my world is the best because you can immediately play with it right out of the box. The first video I took was from inside my 55 gallon aquarium. I plopped the camera in the water and I had all my fish swimming around it. When I took my camera out of the water I noticed that all the water just beads right off the lens. Really nice especially if your going in and out of water. I pulled the footage right off my camera without a hitch. (No special program needed to do that which is really nice...now just try to convince my samsung camcorder to do the same thing.) The footage was a little grainy but that was due to poor lighting since I use a actinic blulight for my reef. I can't wait for tomorrow where I can actually use it to its full potential. I already found a way to mount it to my 450 r/c heli so I cant wait to see my house at 1080p from 50 ft up! Tomorrow is just gonna be a day of extreme sports: Dirtbiking, longboarding, skateboarding, parcor, etc. The biggest pro I found with this camera was the weight and size. I just love how small it is and how light it is...perfect for my heli! As of right now there is no cons. If your on the fence about getting one...DO IT!!!
