Hitachi Deskstar E7K1000 1 Terabyte (1TB) SATA/300 7200RPM 32MB Hard Drive

Lots of people say get them new but I got these refurbed for about $30 and they work just as fine as any other. Dont listen to the Jew! A little loud though

Hitachi has been known to produce the most reliable hard drive. With the price tag of under 100$ for 1 Terabytes, it's hard to beat. Definitely recommend and watch for special sale price.

This drive is useful as a secondary drive to supplement an a smaller SSD (I got the Samsung 850 EVO 120GB). I use this drive to store most program files, music, movies, etc; with the SSD holding the OS, and some key programs such as Google Chrome, Steam, and MSOffice. The drive's size is as reported. The drive was plug and play to install and format and blended seamlessly into usable storage.Note: The drive is only SATA2, NOT SATA3 capable; but if this is used as a storage drive this should not be a problem. Also, some cases may force you to bend the SATA and power cables that go into the drive, but they should still function fine.

Makes a bit more noise than i would prefer and was not new according to CrystalDiskInfo (had quite a bit of uptime recorded), but it does work well for what i use it (game drive)

I got this about a month before building my PC, I've had my PC built for a couple of weeks now and this HDD is so loud... It's vibrating everything!!! I'm pretty upset, I've tried everything to dampen the sound, adjust it's mounting nd anything else you may think of. I am on the verge of going ahead and getting a new HDD!! I'm so upset because of the money and time wasted!

Replacement drive for my server RAID. Arrived well packaged and it was a good price!

I ordered the drive before I really read the reviews so I was afraid I would get a second hand drive or something but it showed up in a sealed static bag and the stats look like a fresh drive. I've only had it in my machine for a little bit and I can't comment on long term reliability but it seems OK. No idea if there's a warranty or anything implied since there is no packaging to speak of.

package arrived in perfectly sealed static bag in excellent condition. I was able to install straight from box and the drive was clean with no faults. great buy
