Is the watch hands and figures luminous?

Yes they are. As with all luminous things it's not long lasting and is better if the original light source was strong

How do you change straps

There are retracting pins in the end of the strap where it joins the watch case. Insert a thin screw driver between the side of the strap and the case to slide the retracting pin back and angle the strap out, watch for the pin springing out when tension is released.

Is the day/date adjustment automatic or manual tia

Fully automatic except when there is a month with less than 31 days. Brilliant watches, this is my second one, the last one lasting 20 years with the same battery.

What is the internal distance between lugs.. Ie the width of the top of the the watch strap please.. Is it 21mm perhaps?

22mm see video. My watch strap is 18mm. Happy New Year
