Bliss!
I had two pairs of these headphones and ordered two more from Amazon via Adorama Camera. These headphones need no reviews. They are excellent. I remember having used my late father's STAX headphones back in the day but these are awesome. I have stuck to them for five years now and I love them. I wrote in the other review as well that I am in advertising which means I spend a lot of time in production houses and listen to professional studio equipment so my ears are tuned in a certain way. These headphones don't colour the sound, which is amazing. And they're built to last. The price is unbelievably low so I suggest you do give them a shot. If you come from a habit of using regular domestic market headphones, however high end, it will take a little time getting used to the sound. But when you do, you won't go anywhere else. It is just like listening to a lot of expensive hi-fi speakers and then listening to monitor speakers. It is different but that neutral sound is addictive.Ok this is turning out to be a review of sorts whereas my objective was to thank everyone at Amazon, Adorama Camera and UPS, people who must have picked my package or sorted it in the middle of the night so that I get it on time. You boys and girls are awesome! Thank you very much!To Amazon: Please start shipping directly to Pakistan. If you're ok with accepting our credit cards, I think its only fair to send us the stuff directly as well. Currently we here have to have stuff delivered to friends and family who then have to physically bring it with them. Very inconvenient.

Lightweight Workhorse
I originally bought a pair of MDR-7502's so long ago, I can't remember the year. I've used them religiously for just about every major and minor project on super stereo amplifiers to small CD players and Video cameras. Everything from casual use to professional audio editing. With a flat response and smooth reproduction of just about any sound that may be pumped into this lightweight beauty, you can listen just about all day without getting tired of hefting the usual set of dumbells on each ear. And, of course, the connector includes a large plug and built-in mini-plug. My set is over ten years old, and the current model costs the same as when I bought it new. The only real gripe I have about this unit is the pads. After eight years of use, the soft, leather like pads peeled their outer layer, made a mess, and finally gave up the ghost and disintegrated. I ended up replacing them with pads from another trashy set of headphones because I couldn't find a replacement set on the internet. My old phones still work, but to celebrate Sony's obvious wisdom in keeping this model on the market, I'll be ordering another set and a spare soon. Thanks, Sony!

The absolute BEST at their price-point!!!
I LOVE MINE!! They are truly indispensable for referencing a mix! I also own pairs of Sennheiser HD 280's, Byerdynamic DT 770's and Sony MDR 7506's... All sound GREAT, but none sound as flat and accurate as the LEAST expensive pair of them all - the MDR 7502's!! Unfortunately, although the headband is durable, the cans themselves are not as durable; they detach and break at the joints more easily than I'd like... Nonetheless, I keep buying them because they sound so good!!! EXCELLENT OVERALL!

Great value for sound, inferior construction
For around $50, these headphones feel and sound great. I bought $32 Sony MDR-V150's, tested the two out, and these were obviously superior in sound quality. The bass is still lacking if my surroundings are quite loud, but the treble sounds clear without being tinny or obnoxious. I would consider getting a case--they don't come with one, and an important square of plastic fixing the left ear cup to the headband snapped off. Sound and all still works but I have to insert the cup back on every time I put them off. A little E-tape should do the job, since I can't be bothered to go through the exchange process.

Fits my average shaped head and sounds amazing.
I have an average shaped head and these head phones fit me perfectly. I initially bought them for trips but loved them so much I now use them in my office to block out the sound of my AC unit, fan and the neighbors squeaky water pump that will hopefully die any day now. I love them.updated - I know they are not trendy looking like some of the new brands (beats, bose) but I gotta tell you, no chumps full of 8 balls are going to act up and try to snag these off of your head. Heck, most people think I work for NASA and they are rigged up to a pocket seismic activity reader.

Great purchase. Super-quick shipping.
Sony's MDR-7506 headphones are well-known for their high quality, but long studio sessions with an over-ear headphone design can be uncomfortable, if not downright painful. The Sony MDR-7502 on-ear design is a nice compromise. I use them for everything from DAW mixing to live monitoring to at-home CD listening. While I'm saddened to hear that the MDR-7502 might now be discontinued, I'm very happy that Electronics Basket was able to hook me up with a few pair at a great price.

Headphones
DO NOT PURCHASE THESE. These are not good headphones for the price you can buy much better ones. They broke after a few months. I managed to fix them and then the other side fell off. Not good sound quality. Everyone around you can hear what your lsitening to and you can hear everything around you when you use these. Very poorly made cheap materials. My friend also had a pair of these which broke on her too after only a couple of months.

Cord deteriorates into sticky mess. Ear pads crumble in 2 years
This is my second pair of MDR-7502's. The first set was from around 1993 and were absolutely flawless until they were stolen. The new set worked well, but they did not last as long as I had hoped. They are treated carefully, used professionally at a desk (not dragged around, tossed in a bag, etc.)I went to use them and realized that somehow in the past 2 months (it's been a while since I used them) that the cord has deteriorated into a sticky mess -- as if they were dipped in honey or syrup. The audio portion of these headphones still works well. No complaints there, which is why I gave it two stars instead of just oneI understand and accept that "nothing lasts forever," however I have Ampex equipment from the 1960's that still works wonderfully. I had hoped that basic components from the "professional grade" products would last 15-20 years or more.

Update: One side's plastic broke even with less than frequent use.
Sony MDR7502 has more bass than my Audio-Technica ATH-M50x but definitely less high frequency sounds than Audio-Technica ATH-M50x.Unfortunately the handle broke very quickly so I had to tape one side permanently. But everything else works.

Really enjoyed them but they already broke
Really enjoyed them but they already broke. They still work but the plastic that covers the metal pops out. Tape or glue will fix. Still disappointing. They sound great and the rest of the quality seems good. They do hurt your ears after a few hours but thats to be expected with this style of headphone.

MDR7502
These 7502 is a smaller compact headphone. These are okay if you don't want to carry bigger ones but wearing them long hours, they aren't comfortable. Better for kids. I owned a pair of MDR 7506 and these are the best so far and actually the industry standard for broadcast. I prefer these.
