Bandai Tamashii Nations S.H. MonsterArts Mothra (2019) & Rodan (2019) Set "Godzilla: King of The Monsters", Multi (BAS57446)

Rodan and Mothra is a great set. I already have Godzilla and King Ghidorah and figured “ahhh what the heck? Might as well.”Rodan is the better of the two. His display options are great. Though if I had the option, I’d get Rodan on his own. He’s good enough that I’m down to pay like $90 for him.Mothra, while excellent, is not as great. She looks stunning. However the card wings, like Ghidorah and Rodan, scare me. The smaller arms and wing pieces pop out very easily. I almost don’t want to touch her at all. I do wish her body was a bit bigger. Mothra is very delicate and actually falls off her stand very easily. The only thing the NECA really has on this one is that NECA’s Mothra tabs into the stand with a snap. Other than that, MA’s Mothra is leagues better. The red color makes sense as she’s red during combat. I do like that. The wings being on ball joints scared me at first but it’s actually brilliant.7/10. I do recommend this set.

These are my very first S.H. Monsterarts figures and they're amazing. Some of the joints seems flimsy but you just can't force the movement. Once I got them displayed with my other figures, everything fell into place.

The best part of these figures is that, unlike other S.H. Monster designs, these are fully assembled out of the box. No pieces, no hassle.THE DESIGN: Both figures are pristinely detailed, and adhere very well to their designs in Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019). Rodan and Mothra both have adequate range of motion in their wings that allow for a few interesting poses. Rodan's attack pose (where he his body is more upright and his talons are stretched in front of him like a bird preparing to snatch up prey) is not easy to achieve, but it is possible with some time and patience.THE SCALE: I have included a fuzzy picture of both Mothra and Rodan next to King Ghidorah. As you can see, they are well scaled, especially Rodan. Mothra, I think, is a bit smaller than she should be, but I won't hold that against the designers. Nonetheless, having seen the movie, I think Rodan and Mothra stack up nicely next to the King Ghidorah from the same set.STURDINESS: Mothra's wings are attached at a single, small point on her body. BE CAREFUL moving them, as too much force could easily snap the joint. Her legs are single ball sockets, and can only rotate at the point of contact with the body. In my set, the joints were tight. I gently wiggling them until they begin to move. The joints are small, and brute force could easily break them.Rodan's mouth does not open very wide. This is because his neck is a long ball joint covered by a piece of plastic designed to be a pouch of skin under his beak. (If you disconnect his head from his body, you'll see what I'm talking about very quickly). This piece is not connected by any joints or sockets, and it's easy to lose if you're playing with Rodan's head and it comes off. Be mindful of that. Rodan's feet are single ball and socket joints, and in my set they were loose. If this is a problem for you, I recommend a single layer of clear nail polish applied to the ball joint, left to dry over night. That will tighten it up. Be gentle but firm (I know, difficult) when reattaching the feet.OVERALL: I am very happy with these figures, and the price is actually extremely reasonable compared to other figures in this line.

Love them. Very realistic. Though they do seem an awfully bit fragile and flimsy.

They should have been sold separately they new if they had a bundle most people only wanted rodan but not mothra sadly 104 for them isn’t fair 80 range would be good for both, they could have done better with mothra her body is so small and her wings as well the neca one is far more better

I'm a first time buyer of SH Monster arts and I have to say! I really think these figures of Rodan and Mothra are excellent. I'm a life long fan and I am really enjoying this 2 figure box set.

Very disappointing, I would only buy it if your a absolute godzilla fan or just a huge fan of 2019 other wise the neca are much better value

Amazing and cool craftsmanship! The best representation of Rodan and Mothra as collectible figures and in a cinematic universe, in my opinion.Beautifully crafted and a MUST for any kaiju collector!!!
